Across OCL the PD team has access to XPERTHR for multiple purposes. I myself find the letter templates and forms great if we need a template that includes key elements which allows me to change certain parts. The emails are always useful in terms of new legislation and updates to be aware of. Along with the suite of research and resources on the website.

Great for any size business to use, ensures you are compliant with ACAS and good practise which is great for any companies that dont have higher levels of HR support. Whatever you need you can access it also helps visualise processes to things such as disciplinaries and grievances etc so a great tool.

Helped me at times when sometimes it is harder to thoroughly visualise certain processes to think clearly and succinctly ensuring the process is accurate and correct. I also fact check my thoughts against the resources on XPERTHR to ensure I have the right thought process. Colleagues from HR Officers to HR Business Partners access the products which frees up their time.
By ensuring our compliance it has helped us drive our people strategy, it is so important to ensure the basis of employment law is concrete to ensure practises and strategies can be pushed forward. New emails from XPERTHR have triggered discussions at meetings around compliance and law which has prompted change or even a proactive approach for example flexible working.
Brightmine is the only platform I trust when it comes to my regular use. I know if I need something I will be able to locate it easily and know the content is accurate and user friendly. Whereas some providers are more difficult to navigate. I love how comprehensive the documents are and easy to use and download/apply to our working situation

Without realising it we use Brightmine so often and it is so beneficial as our daily roles are onerous. By having a tool there that covers such a wide variety of products we can rest assured we know if we need something we can find it on there easily. With no hassle.

As a HR function we wanted something visually appealing but most importantly operationally useful, as if something is complex and not user friendly people stop using it. Whereas Brightmine has user friendly aspects across the whole platform. Which means it is easy to use and access whatever we need to find without becoming stressed or giving up!
I am more than happy with Brightmine, why complicate something that works so well and my colleagues all say the same when it comes to user friendly options it makes things so much more convenient. it also helps when colleagues on the ground need support or template or information. So benefits all.
I didnt implement but just wanted to say the person providing the training was brilliant and guided us through each page so we knew how to navigate, also allowed us to ask a lot of questions if we needed to which was helpful. So we could go away with confidence to use it

Just with their legislation in line letters and procedures, we dont have to worry about checking so much we can rely on the products being up to date and reliable. Their team are friendly and dont bombard you either which is always appreciated.
So simple to use and really a few clicks to finding what you need, also appreciate the layout and alphabetical organisation. Not to mention how things are written out it makes finding templates a breeze and navigating to exactly what you need. Makes a stressful job so much easier!

Our organisation uses XpertHR for a number of things from benchmarking HR data, employment law services, upskilling line managers, the HR team use this for a sense check and our Governance team uses this for sense checking.

The problems the business has which are addressed with Xpert HR are that we are able to ensure legal compliance with employment practices.

It is well suited for organisations who have qualified or experienced HR professionals who need guidance, support or legal service support.

The legal support has positively impacted our HR compliance against the law. Also the FAQs are a great way to have a quick sense check on some of the least common but basic questions.
I have not personally seen XpertHR being useful for HR strategy. That said I was not fully away of this availability so will now investigate.
XpertHR is very similar, it is a better presented product but comes at a considerable cost in comparison. For that reason, we are looking at alternatives for our renewal.

I use XpertHR to help update my employee handbook, write and update policies and procedures. I also rely on XpertHR to make sure that I am staying on top of the latest legal and compliance issues that are changing sometimes on a daily basis. I am very glad to have this resource to make sure I don't miss something that is needed for our HR department and company.

I feel that XpertHR is very well suited in making sure that the Human Resource professionals are staying up to date with all the compliance needs. It may be updating the employee handbook, writing a policy, writing a procedure, they have the tools that we need to make sure we can do this.

I use it for policies, line manager training and letter templates. It has helped us to implement up to date and consistent policies, all in same format and can easily be adjusted to suit your own business.

  • XPert HR works brilliantly for UK but we were disapointed in their offering for UAE
I just use it as my HR bible as it is always up to date. There is a wealth of policies. The template letters are easily adapted and easy to use - all are legally compliant and available quickly. There is a catalogue of basic training available in both word and powerpoint formats.

It made it easy for me to update policies and process. Quick way of having letters ready for employee relations matters. It has enabled us to implement consistency across the business with clear, conscise guidance for our employees, and empowering managers to improve the management skills on people matters.
It has helped me implement flexibility policies, develop the L & D available to line managers and upskill them to better manager ER issues. The regular updates give me useful information on employment legislation and tribunal cases as well as information on reward, recognition and workplace culture.
CIPD HR inform - it is just not as well developed and easy to use as XPert HR
