A central place for multiple sales and marketing individuals to access documents and share- large heavy graphic decks. Dropbox is also more universal for sharing documents with external clients as well. It makes it easier to monitor changes and versions of updated information for all individuals accessing general information as well as customized work by category, vertical or client.
  • Upload
  • Share
  • Catalog
  • record when documents are opened and shared like other services can
  • Automated categorization using AI intel by document
  • Editing and uploading versions
As a new member to an organization having access to previous and current work for the company and individual sales people , provides an archive and history for one to look back on as a central place. Less than optimal is that there is no notification if a file is shared outside the organization what the activity is

We use dropbox to store customer information, designs, contracts, etc. We are able to share documents with people throughout our organization, and limit who can see certain files. Our business could not run without Dropbox. Our installers, service workers, and sales people are able to view and upload documents from the road, which keeps our business running smoothly.
  • Security
  • Giving employees different levels of access.
  • We are able to send documents for signature.
  • I would love to be able to organize folders in a different order besides alphabetically.
  • I would like more options as far as limiting employee access to folders.
  • I wish dropbox didn't cache files to my C:Drive.
Secure, easy to use, great functions. Dropbox is well suited for our Solar Install and Service company. I think it would work well for all business types where multiple people need access to the same files in different locations.
We don't use Dropbox for our 1099 employees because we don't want them to have access to other files within our organization. We have set some up with limitations, but usually it's easier to just have them email the files.

As a student at Ahmedabad University, I use Dropbox to store various files of varying sizes on Dropbox. The partnership of Dropbox with our University enables us to store up to 1 TB of files and folders for free, which makes our life a lot easier. Dropbox solves customers' problems, such as not needing to store everything in local storage and providing better facilities than their competitor(Google Drive, which gives limited storage for free), and that is what my scope of use case is.
  • Efficient storage solutions.
  • Seamless syncing of files with local storage.
  • Effortless deletion and retrieval of files.
As mentioned in the previous questions, Dropbox has made my life much easier by allowing easy file and folder storage access. I had a problem with my old laptop. Since I had been using it for years, it has hundreds of GB of data inside it, which can't be transferred using other cloud storage services free of cost either because of limited space or because they would ask to upgrade to premium plans to allow more storage. That is where Dropbox came in handy, as I could transfer files from my old laptop to my new laptop via Dropbox without any hassle.

We have integrated Dropbox as our core backup file-organizing tool. We find it to be an easy tool to use and that all the office employees do not need to worry about emailing files back and forth. We also do not worry about losing the files if a computer crash were to take place. Dropbox is a reliable service for us and we intend to keep it as long as the cost is affordable. The office feels safer with this service and we feel that is brings great value to our work team. Thank you!

  • Backup Files.
  • File Sharing.
  • Additional file search features.
  • Provide organizational tools.
  • Give some tips of organizing files.
Dropbox is suited for small businesses. We are a team of 6 at this time, and our needs are being met. The architects share files quickly. As the office manager, I am able to create and share files with the business owner quickly and efficiently. However, I do not think that Dropbox is suited for businesses of 20 or more. It would be hard to have that many users updating files and folders simultaneously.

Digital Asset Management and sharing assets with external partners.
  • Connecting with file structure on desktop.
  • Mobile app is seamless.
  • Video previews render quickly.
  • Search functionality has room for improvement -- more tag based searching would be next level and make you a competitor for Brandfolders of the world.
  • Approval flows.
  • File governance is confusing and sometimes results in people who have edit access deleting huge chunks of content when they are trying to remove synced content from their computer/account.
Companies that have 5000-10000 assets with uncomplicated file organization structures.

I'm part of the Operations Department of a Personal Injuries Law Firm, we use Dropbox to administrate each client file. In my role I have to transfer the files from one Case Manager folder to another, so when you have to transfer several files, Dropbox starts to lag. Also, it would be great if the app had some feature in which you can rename various files at the same time, for example with a specific date. Besides than that, Dropbox is great!
  • Managing Permisions
  • Show folder activity
  • Create Automated folder
  • Uploading and downloading files
  • Transferring several files from one folder to another
  • Costumer service
  • Deskptop version doesn't work as well as online version
Dropbox is great for case management, user friendly, granting or limiting permissions to certain users, sharing files, showing folder activities, folder activity and history of changes.

I think Dropbox could improve on the customer service end, when you have to transfer several files, Dropbox starts to lag. On the other side, in my experience, the desktop version doesn't work as well as the online version. Finally, when you use special characters on the folder's name, sometimes the file disappear.

We use mainly for large files sharing (between us and with clients) and use a lot of Dropbox Paper too (to organize ideas, new features and to-do's). Since at my company the main use of data is from databases from cases of our software, these are the main uses. One use that people often use (but not me particularly), is the option to synchronize the data from the Dropbox, so the internal hard drive is not used and the computer keeps with low hard drive use and consequently more fast
  • Dropbox request files
  • Dropbox paper!
  • Keeps the deleted files in the "recycle bin" and shows the name of the person who deleted it
  • Dropbox app (I think its confuse the part of synchronization)
Dropbox is well suited for files sharing (I think it might be interesting to sharing just a download link direct instead of sharing a folder/file directly in Dropbox) and for organize ideas. My company has the Dropbox Advanced plan, but these two are my main uses and I cannot talk about the others features. These that I used is well suited for me.

- We use Dropbox to store most of our active projects, since we work off the cloud, and it's also the platform we use for file sharing.
- The business problems it addresses for us are mainly: a lack of a fast and secure active storage platform. Before services like Dropbox, we'd have to share files through the usage of hard drives and the transportation of the sames. Using Dropbox minimizes the steps and time required to share files.
  • Ease of uploading, and downloading of files, thanks to the "syncing" feature.
  • Management of space taken in your device (you can select which files to sync or un-sync)
  • Secure file sharing: you have control over who sees, edits, and downloads files when sharing.
  • sometimes the desktop app glitches a bit, but it's nothing too troublesome
  • perhaps there could be a feature where you can send the "path" of a file (showing the folders in which a file is contained), in the same way that you can share a link for a specific file, if that makes sense
  • Sometimes the Dropbox icons you're supposed to see in apple's finder are not there, so it's hard to see which files are synced and which aren't. But maybe my device is the issue
We've tried using other similar services, but honestly Dropbox is just a lot easier to use. The user experience is intuitive.
Maybe it is because a lot of people we work with use it as well that it makes it easy to use?
But overall I do prefer Dropbox so far, to the other services.
It also seems faster in general. it's just easy to find a solution to what you're looking to accomplish when it comes to file sharing and storage.

Dropbox is used in order to organize files both personally and for equal access to files that need to be shared between myself and others. It also allows for the transfer and storage of larger files that would otherwise be sent and take up valuable storage on my personal device. Drobox allows for minimal need to repeat shares and instead a local group file can be updated accordingly.
  • Easy upload for multiple users to share files in one location
  • Large files are stored without using limited personal device data
  • Files can be updated and the updates are accessible by all parties
  • Easy to organize and create subfiles for a large organization or project
  • allows access to specific people for different files.
  • The newer updates make it hard to locate files once we have a lot of projects
  • Sharing the link is not always effective and does not always share
  • constantly logged out on my current device even when I use it daily
Very suited for people who are conducting business in different countries or remote locations. It allows a common business area to access files and update files with all relevant people able to see them. It also allows for larger file transfers to exist in one place and there is no need to send them over other services or store them on personal devices.

We adopted Dropbox Business a few years ago and we've not looked back. The improvements made to the interface and admin tools over the years have been solid and the price is truly value for money given the amount of storage we are afforded.
  • Storage Size
  • Uploading Process is easy
  • Admin model has improved
  • Administration of permissions for users and non-users
  • Often difficult to understand where the files are being saved and why when it comes to live data and backup data
  • Would appreciate more insight into user activity
Being able to operate our "network drive" in the cloud has been a game changer since Covid we went almost fully remote. It negates the need for file storage in a physical environment which saves on expense, time and effort.

The product addresses cloud storage issues, especially with large files such as audio and documents. Furthermore, Dropbox allows us to better share our documents with each other. Personally, Dropbox helps me to upload files to other services that use the Dropbox upload feature. Then, I have a method of storing and sharing my documents in the same place.
  • Easy upload
  • Large file management
  • Good organization
  • Good interface
  • The interface is messy, particularly the section that says “recent”
  • Interface times out
  • Logging into Dropbox is buggy from other platforms
- Large files
- Large folders

We use it to store all of our documents from client facing to internal. We need something that has both desktop and cloud storage so we can choose what to download. We also use the feature of permissions, as not everyone needs to see everything.
  • Mac integration (very native)
  • Herarchy of info when creating folders etc.
  • Link generation
  • Creating links that take me to the web and not my mac location
I can use it from my phone. We do research and I take pictures of the places we observe, I upload them right away and delete them from my phone as soon as they are done uploading. Super native on my laptop.

I use Dropbox as means of storing important documents for projects, spendings, and marketing. The accessibility of Dropbox allows us to access our files, no matter where we are, which is helpful considering we work in hybrid environments, and also travel. It also allows me and my coworkers to collaborate easily across different platforms and devices.
  • Makes files easily accessible from various locations and devices
  • Easily integrates into automatically backing up your files
  • Love to be Lock folders and have a bit more selective privacy for people that access the same folders as me.
  • Some Save feature would be nice just in case they’re ever is deletion of files by accident
If your business needs a way to access large amounts of files from various locations and devices, then Dropbox would be a great tool for your work. Dropbox may not be as useful if you really rely on auto saving and backing of files since multiple people may access folders and edit or delete them.

We use Dropbox all throughout our enterprise. Primarily as a bridge between remote creative resources and those in the office. Having a cloud based service like Dropbox allows us to hire talent across the globe and work seamlessly. This means we can expand and focus on hiring the best talent without fear of them not being within our operating area.

Additionally Dropbox allows us as a team to seamlessly move content and information between systems with little to no downtime.
  • Storage Management
  • User Access
  • Ease of Setup
  • Different instances of the same file being accessed
  • Change History
For most enterprise level companies, Dropbox offers a great solution. Seamless file transfer and storage system with low latency and immediate enterprise wide updates when files get moved.

If you are an agile company who focuses on speed above else Dropbox may slow you down due to the multiuser in one file issue and overwriting each others documents.

I use Dropbox to quickly get contracts and work agreements signed. We do fire mitigation and restoration so time is usually of the essence. This format allows us to quickly get the authorizations that insurance companies require. I've had great luck with the easy to use format and detailed tracking provided for every step along the way.
  • Easy to use
  • Detailed tracking
  • Fast response
  • Streamlined layout would be better
  • Sometimes difficult to find my files
  • Easier to use templates
Dropbox sign is very well suited for construction and mitigation industries. We do so much out in the field that Dropbox keeps us connected with the office and allows us access to everything we need. We can keep up with compliance and insurance guidelines. We couldn't do it nearly as competitively without Dropbox.

My organization solely uses Dropbox for our file storage. All business and project files are stored on Dropbox, often used as our file-sharing system with clients. Historically, we have always trusted Dropbox to be reliable for our workflow and business operations. We appreciate the integrations available (Word, Adobe, Excel, and Google Drive shortcuts) that allow us to optimize our work based on our individual needs and preferences without being locked into only one option. In the past, we haven't experienced many issues at all with Dropbox. Once your settings are properly set, you name files without troublesome characters, and you regularly restart your device, there shouldn't be any issues that arise or disrupt your workflow.
  • Reliable storage.
  • Varity of integrations.
  • Extensive file/folder activity saved.
  • FIX the recent software/hardware update that has seriously disrupted work operations. My organization has struggled for a month with Dropbox's issue, with no resolution in sight until Dropbox fixes it. Files aren't opening or downloading, all applications are running 3X slower, and various glitches have arisen. This is solely a Dropbox issue and their responsibility to fix.
  • Improve syncing issues between varied device types (PC, Mac). There is a long delay at times, and restarts shouldn't be the only fix.
  • Improve integrations with Google Drive files. Sometimes, it will log out or not load when a Google file/shortcut is in Dropbox.
  • Optimize collaborative editing incorporating Word/Excel/Google integrations.
  • Customer service must improve. We have not been able to get answers/solutions/effective assistance on the Dropbox issue.
Dropbox is well suited for reliable file storage, sharing files and folders, utilizing folders as a SharePoint for collaboration between clients, being easily integrated within File Explorer, and providing a helpful preview interface while exploring folders. However, Dropbox is not ideal for use in collaborative editing. If many team members need to edit a document, they must wait for one person to save and close, or the file will get corrupted and saved separately. That raises the issue of wasted time while consolidating versions.

We keep all files on Dropbox and use them collaboratively. The platform allows us to work productively with very few interruptions. The only issue I may have is the online and offline capabilities due to the lack of space on my computer. I am looking forward to more updates from Dropbox!
  • Holding all storage.
  • Collaborative capabilities.
  • Work anywhere.
  • Maybe the collaborative section.
  • Unique UI.
  • Chat rooms.
I would recommend Dropbox if colleagues have the budget for it. Large scale use, I would highly recommend it, but no service is perfect. My 9/10 score is realistic! Again, I would love to see chatrooms, vibrant UI, and different options for collaboration with my coworkers. Additionally, there may be some updates for mobile use.

I use Dropbox as the primary shared access point for the design portion of our print magazine's production. It contains all the images and files necessary to create the InDesign and mirror files in InCopy. Dropbox gives notifications of things occurring and weekly updates of what has happened in your Dropbox folder, so it is easy to follow along with what has happened in your absence.
  • It backs up files.
  • It allows you to be selective when sharing files.
  • It syncs files between devices making them easily accessible from anywhere.
  • It does not have a user-friendly interface.
  • It has a relatively limited storage capacity compared to other services.
  • It does not work at times unless you make files available offline.
I think it is best suited in a collaborative production setting where all files are equally and easily accessible to other team members who may not necessarily always communicate. It takes the guesswork out of things.

Our organization uses Dropbox to share files and organized folders with partners/consultants/contractors outside of our organization. In addition, we use Dropbox to share files too large to attach to emails. We use the service to organize files by year, project, and type. It makes files easy to find and makes projects easy to package up.
  • Organization

  • Accessing files offline

Dropbox is well suited for scenarios involving collaboration across different locations and organizations. For instance, when working on joint projects with external partners, Dropbox's sharing and commenting features streamline file exchanges and feedback. It's also excellent for remote teams needing centralized access to shared documents. However, Dropbox may be less appropriate for scenarios requiring strict data governance and compliance, as highly sensitive information might demand more specialized, secure storage solutions like those tailored to industry-specific regulations. Additionally, for organizations heavily invested in a different ecosystem, like Microsoft 365, integrating Dropbox might be redundant or less efficient.

We use Dropbox as part of the Design team to collaborate remotely with different team members and share design assets and Adobe files. We usually create different design files and hand them off to each other for mods, so we don't need to be physically in an office or shared NAS server to be able to modify and quickly edit these files. Dropbox has made remote work easier more and productive than ever, because the previous file service we used had issues and made us work slower.
  • Share files across team members
  • File history is excellent to retrieve previous versions
  • Desktop app works great
  • Stability and sync velocity
  • Apple iWork files support, we previously used Box services and this was the only advantage over Dropbox
  • UI on macOS has some issues when syncing, sometimes the sync icon doesn't updates
  • Had some issues in the past that work files are not up to date in desktop app but are in browser
We asked to our employers to switch to Dropbox because we had better results when syncing files with design team members.

Dropbox also have issues specifically with Adobe After Effects. Sincr files are not syncing automatically and if we don't sync every asset, it creates a specific error where the files are not supported in app, but we found out that was a cache file issue so there's a workaround. But anyway, automatic syncing should be supported in macOS as it was previously supported years ago.

Collaboration and file organization. 100% of our file storage is using Dropbox, downloading locally when needed and staying on top of actual file name management so everyone is in the same page. It’s great for sharing externally as well - this was once an issue that required users to have space in their own drives to view a file but this isn’t a component anymore.
  • Quick file up/downloads to local machines
  • Visual indicators of said files
  • Integration with local machines
  • Accessibility regardless of platform
  • Showing when a file is currently in use or being edited, regardless of application
  • Suggested naming of files?
  • Suggesting more relevant recent files
Customer service was phenomenal when I accidentally deleted a root folder. I’ll never forget that call, best service rep I’ve ever had

I use it to have the files for the entire firm available to anybody at any location even remotely. We have a firm with many employees who work out of several offices and even out of state this functionality and availability allows us the freedom to work in this way and escape the restrictions of paper files.
  • Sync documents in real time
  • Provide both a web/app/desktop option
  • Good availability in terms of service hours and well scheduled maintenance
  • Better options to manage storage space locally
  • Better options to ensure files are synced when space is an issue
  • Other than that no issues I like the product a lot
Any team that is looking to be able to work remotely and allow file access through multiple locations will benefit from this kind of technology and app. ultimately other programs provided bigger issues with syncing availability or the storage capacity of the server that is needed to manage a law firm that is active in several states.

Dropbox was used as a shared data environment to facilitate communication between a team of many professionals. Being in the AEC industry, the service helped us coordinate engineering design and projects. More specifically, we used it as the main space to inform each other about updates and edit colleagues' work even when they were away or unavailable.
  • Shared data among all peoples who have access to certain folders.
  • Data stored online so it frees lots of space from the personal computer.
  • Updates really fast.
  • You can access all the information on a file on your computer and on the Dropbox online platform.
  • At times it doesn't give the option to upload everything online.
  • Sometimes you can't see the latest version of a file due to some loading delays.
As I previously said, since I am in the AEC Industry, Dropbox has been widely used. I have used it as a Graduate Student to coordinate the job with my teammates in different courses, and I have used it for my internship and thesis research to update my colleagues. In both these experiences, with similar yet different directions, the scope was the same and was satisfied equally. Except for some cases, it proved to be very useful. I tested the project with eight people involved, many working parallelly, and I found the overall experience successful. It is suited for sharing information and knowledge in any industry, not just AEC.

We do not have any problems with Dropbox, only some connection failures, and sometimes the servers have gone down, but for now, everything is fine. Maybe we should improve the file loading speed slightly, but I understand that that is still the case. It is due to the connection that each of us consumers has.
  • Upload files.
  • Download files.
  • Sort files by folders.
  • Server stability.
It is the most popular service for file storage, data, and resource management for companies. Apart from its ease of use, it is very intuitive, which means that many inexperienced people can handle it without extensive training.
