Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I'm part of the Operations Department of a Personal Injuries Law Firm, we use Dropbox to administrate each client file. In my role I have to transfer the files from one Case Manager folder to another, so when you have to transfer several files, Dropbox starts to lag. Also, it would be great if the app had some feature in which you can rename various files at the same time, for example with a specific date. Besides than that, Dropbox is great!

Pros

  • Managing Permisions
  • Show folder activity
  • Create Automated folder
  • Uploading and downloading files

Cons

  • Transferring several files from one folder to another
  • Costumer service
  • Deskptop version doesn't work as well as online version
  • We need a reliable cloud software to function. (Positive)
  • In my experience, Case management would be easier if the software works as good on the desktop as online version. (Negative)
  • In my opinion, Customer service could improve (Negative)
I think Dropbox is good if you compare it to other cloud service software, especially on the business end, however it has room for improvement in areas like transferring files speed, customer service, folder conventions and integration with other apps.

I consider than Microsoft and Apple are a bit ahead on these aspects.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

Dropbox is great for case management, user friendly, granting or limiting permissions to certain users, sharing files, showing folder activities, folder activity and history of changes.

I think Dropbox could improve on the customer service end, when you have to transfer several files, Dropbox starts to lag. On the other side, in my experience, the desktop version doesn't work as well as the online version. Finally, when you use special characters on the folder's name, sometimes the file disappear.
