Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
We adopted Dropbox Business a few years ago and we've not looked back. The improvements made to the interface and admin tools over the years have been solid and the price is truly value for money given the amount of storage we are afforded.
Pros
- Storage Size
- Uploading Process is easy
- Admin model has improved
Cons
- Administration of permissions for users and non-users
- Often difficult to understand where the files are being saved and why when it comes to live data and backup data
- Would appreciate more insight into user activity
- Hardware cost significantly reduced
- Hardware / Tech support significantly reduced from a server standpoint
- Easy to manage and incredibly useful for our remote teams
SharePoint was where our engineering team looked for service in the cloud however we quickly moved to Dropbox when we evaluated costs for the amount of storage we needed.
