Reviews
(1-25 of 76)Intuitive Learning Platform.
- Platform Customization.
- Customer Support.
- Intuitive Interface.
- Reporting
- Course Authoring can be bulky.
- Structure of teams.
Elevating Our Training Experience
- Admin portal is easy to navigate
- Learners Portal is easy to use
- Course Portals are easy for our learners and look great
- Client Success Support is superior
- Batch updates to courses would be idea. Something you can use outside of the course window.
Absorb Success Managers are the best!
- Fairly recent upgrade to the course player.
- Ability to create roles for different levels of access.
- Use of a sandbox for testing and research.
- I wish that reports could include data from multiple tables. It seems like each report is missing just one or two things that would make it really useful. Instead, I have to use multiple reports to get all of the required information.
- The leaderboards had some funky things going on, like pulling two different certifications into one board. We found workarounds, but the leaderboards could definitely be improved.
- Expiration dates on billboards would be a huge plus!
- We would like to be able to create our own custom import files rather than needing their technical department to create and update them for us. We reviewed some other vendors who offered this feature.
- The available import functionality is very selective; it would be nice if that were made easier to use.
- We had a heck of a time trying to get our contract renewal quote. It took several months, which caused some issues with our budgeting process.
- The way seats are counted is ridiculous. We would not be able to track our seat usage accurately, as any user who logs in uses a seat for a full year from the time they log in, whether they log in again or not. A monthly tally would be so much more practical.
- There are inconsistencies in the UI. For example, a menu might look and work one way on one screen and differently on another.
Decent LMS with a poor business model.
- User friendly interface.
- Generally easy navigation in admin experience.
- Course creation is fairly simple.
- The data reporting options and features in Absorb are terrible. Sometimes, multiple reports have to be pulled to get simple L&D metrics. If you want to see most of your data, you have to upgrade to Analyze, which is insanely cost-prohibitive for small to mid-sized companies. Reporting in an LMS should not be an add-on. Admins should be able to access all data at all times and customize reports as needed.
- Functionality for adding external links to ILC sessions is poor and limited.
- As a company, Absorb needs to improve its "a la carte" business model or offer better-tiered pricing. The LMS is good, but the competition is intense, and I'm tired of being upsold every time I have a question about functionality.
Non-Profit Review of Absorb + Product Features.
- Customer Support.
- Offering affordable rates for Non-Profit Organizations.
- Providing micro-learning course library for soft skills development.
- Excellent reporting capabilities.
- Quick response times for problem solving issues.
- Lots of customization opportunities.
- External Course Completions are VERY challenging to monitor/ set up. For example, we offer CPR first aid in-house; folks can complete it externally. No single report can capture external and internal completions in the exact location.
- Audits are challenging. State representatives need to see the certificates of completion. Managers must access all of their direct reports' certificates in one place. We need to pull individual certificates one at a time from other external upload or course upload reports and print/ save each one by one. This takes up LOTS of time.
- ILC Auto-enrollment would be very helpful when we need to enroll folks in required courses without a self-enrollment option (or when they are new and need to be enrolled in onboarding courses).
- An instructor dashboard would be helpful similar to the Manager Dashboard.
Absorb LMS Review.
- Uses the latest version of Articulate 360 SCORM packets.
- Ease of creating user accounts.
- Customization of Learner Portal.
- More out-of-the-box reporting functionality without having to pay for an upgraded version.
- The ability to control client Admin permissions better. Some permissions are lumped with others. I would like to see them all individually so that we have more control over what our clients have access to.
- Better instructions on how to manually import users.
Learning Coordinator review.
- Mass integration between our Ultipro system.
- Making auto generated excel reports.
- Access to Absorb academy with help troubleshooting various issues.
- A better way to help users understand SCORM conversion.
- Explaining how to use the calendar widget.
- Maybe a video of creating some basic custom dashboards.
Appreciation for Absorb LMS and the Support Team
- Customer Service - Our CSM, Kirsten Spak, provides friendly, timely and high quality help and has helps us to understand and efficiently use the system.
- Course Creation - We have been able to create custom courses with a wide range of features, including branding, audio, video and assessments.
- Reporting - Absorb LMS offers a robust reporting function which allows us to understand our users and meet the needs of our partners when user information is required for their projects.
- Certificate downloads - We had hoped to be able to download all certificates related to a given course as a bulk download, however, this was not an available function. However, our CSM did help to identify a workaround for this situation.
Absorb LMS Review.
- Uploading of course material.
- Has a great knowledge bank to refer to.
- Easy to navigate.
- I believe the reporting side of things could be done a lot better.
- Offer more how to videos to assist with the knowledge bank they have.
Absorb User
- Tracking of course progress
- Designing trainings
- Easy delivery of courses
- Automated reminder emails
- More functionality with our HRIS
- The creator tool is easy to use
- Courses on Amplified
- Role creation is simple to set and complete
- Need more options on quizzes or evaluation tools.
- Courses on Amplified could be more robust.
It is less appropriate if you are trying to create something outside the box for quizzes since it only has the traditional options like true or false, multiple choice, etc. It will we nicer if it had more gamification tools.
Absorb is amazing!
- Immaculate customer service
- Innovative: Constantly working to make the system better
- Simplistic design, which allows ease of use
- Helping to provide secondary solutions if a functionality does not currently exist
- Ability to "exclude" information (i.e departments, groups)
- Easily pull course activity report for all courses
- Ability to save templates that have multiple filters
- Ability to edit enrollment dates
- Upload content, there are various types supported.
- User management.
- Customising user experience.
- Has many features that are standard.
- Can expand if need be on function and features.
- Templates for uploading courses: I generally use the same information, but for every course, I have to go through all the settings.
- hard to find topics in the help.
- There are menu options for setting up a system in different places, but that could be simplified.
- Customer support: any time we've ever encountered issues on the front end (from learners) or back end (reports, building courses, etc) our CSM Olivia are immediate in their response and helpfulness. Any questions we have are always addressed promptly.
- Dashboards: very cool functionality to see (in real-time) course enrollments, completions, etc. and its easy to build them in Absorb.
- Customization: the abilities to customize our platform homepage (with custom billboards, images, news and announcements, etc.) is a huge plus for Absorb.
- Reporting: some custom reports we need have to be built on the backend and we can't do ourselves- e.g. have to put in a request to the client success team.
- Surveys/Course evaluations/assessments: can't edit these after the courses go live without losing some data from learners who've already completed them. Also have to click 'submit' after each evaluation item instead of just once at the bottom of the page.
- Character limits: some object lessons have character limits (e.g. the 'Description' box- only allows 4000 characters.
AbsorbLMS is a solid LMS system
- Allows customization for different customers
- Provides a way to sell training to customers
- Provides ways to distribute learning keys to users
- User interface needs more flexibility
- Resource library needs more ways to exclude or include departments or users
- Core reporting and dashboards need assistance
Absorb for the upskilling win!
- ease of use
- robust and fast support team
- beautiful content creation
- robust admin tools and reporting
- nothing is lacking so far
- everything has been great so far
- training and onboarding has been wonderful
- no issues to report
In our case, Absorb is not needed for any ecommerce or client learning or outreach. However, it is good to know that those capabilities are there if we ever need them in the future.
Absorb more with Absorb!

Absorb LMS Review- Highly Recommend

- Ability to customize more of the screens
- in Create Design- ability to spell check
- Offer More trainings for system admins
Satisfied Customer
- Creating Accounts (just a few steps)
- Monitoring (easy to categorize)
- Reporting (easy to set up)
- Landing Page: I struggled to make that relevant
- Absorb Academy: It is hard to track down specific information to a question
- Help Desk: It is hard to share that time with others
A well-rounded system that supports all L&D needs.
- Create tool.
- Allowing to organize and track all types of courses, not just e-learnings.
- Overview of people skills in their profiles.
- Uploading documents is perceived as hard for employees, especially with video uploads.
- Sometimes the program lacks and then an employee has to start all over.
- Spacing courses is possible but not with a certain amount of time, which would be useful if the next course could open after a week/month instead of when the employee finishes the previous course.
Absorb is a dream to work with!
- Easy to navigate the admin platform
- Reminders built in to ensure you activate your courses and avoid frustration
- Vast amount of options in Absorb Create, so you can make your courses exactly what you want them to be
- You don't have the option to make your buttons within an object skip to the next course (only the next page within the Create object), so people have to navigate using buttons on the bottom panel, which is not always intuitive
- If you un-enroll someone and re-enroll them, they start back where they left off, instead of wiping the slate clean
- I have not been able to figure out how to clean up the courses page (ie putting them into folders)
