Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS
Absorb is our primary learning management system and is used to track the majority of our training (e-learning and ILC). All employees utilize the LMS for onboarding and continuing education across our national footprint in the United States. We rely heavily on the LMS to accurately track employee training records and training data.
Pros
- User friendly interface.
- Generally easy navigation in admin experience.
- Course creation is fairly simple.
Cons
- The data reporting options and features in Absorb are terrible. Sometimes, multiple reports have to be pulled to get simple L&D metrics. If you want to see most of your data, you have to upgrade to Analyze, which is insanely cost-prohibitive for small to mid-sized companies. Reporting in an LMS should not be an add-on. Admins should be able to access all data at all times and customize reports as needed.
- Functionality for adding external links to ILC sessions is poor and limited.
- As a company, Absorb needs to improve its "a la carte" business model or offer better-tiered pricing. The LMS is good, but the competition is intense, and I'm tired of being upsold every time I have a question about functionality.
- Enhanced onboarding.
- Increased compliance training and tracking.
- Content Creation (Absorb Create)
- Content Libraries (Absorb Amplify or 3rd Party Libraries)
- Ecosystem Integrations (Absorb APIs or Absorb Connectors)
- Social Learning (Absorb Engage)
