Overall Satisfaction with Brightmine
Brightmine is regularly used within our team to access employment law advice and information on best practice. We deal with a broad array of HR advice and casework often coming across issues that are new to us that we haven't dealt with before. The letter templates provided also save us so much time as although we have a suite of templates for common case types there are times we find we would have to draft something new from scratch but the templates available in Brightmine help to speed this up saving us time
Pros
- The search feature is great and often returns results relevant to what you are looking for
- Up to date employment law information is easily accessible
- Template letters make it easy to draft correspondence
Cons
- Sometimes there aren't clear links to relevant things, for example reading a page about employment law and there may be another article about the same thing but there is no relevant links section
- Sometimes hard to navigate
- Lots of emails
- Time saved
- Risks mitigated as up to date employment advice
- Research time usually reduced
We have a very small legal team that provides us with support and so using Brightmine reduces the lower level queries needing to go through that team as we are able to access advice ourselves. This also speeds up case resolution as we arent having to wait for input from other parties
Alert emails from Brightmine whenever there are changes means that we don't have to spend a lot of time scanning the horizon and looking to see if there have been any legislation changes, Brightmine alerts us via email when there are any changes. This means we can be ahead of the game
Brightmine is easier to use and has more resources than CIPD HR inform and so was preferred by us
