Overall Satisfaction with XpertHR

As a recently transitioned business, we are currently enhancing and re-writing our entire suite of policies and procedures and the template letters alongside these. The templates within XpertHR are generic but also legally sound which makes amending and using these simple and effective. The template letters are easy to find and adapt to use alongside these, too. My account manager has also recently shown me helpful hints and tips to use XpertHR, which has led to me finding the full suite of documents, including managers' guides and training materials, to enhance this review and rollout process. The XpertHR system is certainly enhanced to the year I used it in the late 2000s and I find this much more user-friendly to use and the templates easier to use and find. My account manager has been very useful and always on hand to contact and discuss my needs and requirements, finding solutions or content where this does not exist within the platform currently by reaching out to her content team and colleagues.

Pros

  • User friendly platform.
  • Excellent account manager and support system and network.
  • Adaptable templates that are sound legally and have timely legislative updates and content are always on the front foot of any changes required.
  • Training suite - managers guides, tools and training materials are a great addition.

Cons

  • User guide or session from the offset to make using the platform more user-friendly. Once I had my session, sometime after taking the subscription, the platform was much easier to use and navigate but had this been available and taken place from the offset, it would have made the experience excellent from the off-set.
  • Have legislative updates on regular newsletters or updates to make new content visible and available easily without having to find this directly or from updates that come from elsewhere.
  • Consider user sessions so networking can be enabled or team sessions where individuals can give feedback on the system, share best practices, and speak to other users and individuals.
  • Amendment of policies prior to XpertHR usually led to weeks of research of content out there and asking colleagues and network for examples - I am now able to complete a policy review in a week alongside my BAU activities and have these with my execs for review quicker.
  • Legislative updates usually come through, and it takes me a month or two to react to this and produce updates and amends within the business. I am now able to get these ahead of any changes through XpertHR, which prevents me from reacting and now being prepared and ready.
  • I usually went to sites and platforms such as HR Ninjas for advice and best practise, I am now content that this is available on XpertHR and I usually share examples of what people could do and use (XpertHR subs) and promotes me as a strong HR professional within my network and people now come to me for advice and discussion more - increasing my own confidence and credibility.
Provided great and sound templates which have given confidence to me and the business that our documentation when using XpertHR is current and legally sound. A great platform to use and have. I promote this to colleagues and my network to avoid the trawl of the internet that I and others still do and being lost after attending webinars and updates and wondering how changes should be worded and applied.
Has been a great tool and platform to allow us to overhaul the outdated and very wordy documents and templates we had in place previously. The previous documents were not user-friendly and have been replaced with current legislation, whilst also being worded in a way that can be understood by the readers and users, managers, and the HR team.
We do not use Croner anymore as we found this dated and not user-friendly. We still use WTW WorkBuzz alongside XpertHR. XpertHR for templates, policies, and legal documentation, WTW for employee engagement and benchmarking, and WorkBuzz for all our survey and review needs. All 3 have useful features and equally are strong in what we use them for within our business.

I have been asked by colleagues and my network for specific documents or example wording for them to use or consider where they don't have access to XpertHR or similar platforms. This has allowed me to give sound advice and share best practices with them whilst also promoting my own knowledge and experience along with the XpertHR system.

Using XpertHR

1 - Human Resources - I am the HR Business Partner but do share ideas and suggestions across the business, such as data protection, H&S, and within my team for any projects or amends they are working on. All of them have found my advice and suggestions useful and have usually used these in their projects and amends, too.
1 - As previously stated, I am the main user of the system but have shared with colleagues in H&S, data protection, and assurance, within the HR team, IT, and Finance to assist with the projects and amends they have also been working on. All have found it useful and sound advice and suggestions.
  • Updates on policies and procedures.
  • Template letters.
  • Training materials.
  • Training materials and sessions ran alongside the rollout of amended materials.
  • Flowcharts and interactive tools to bring things to life and understood better.
  • Updates and new stories shared for facts and figures in training.
  • More users to the platform.
  • References to the platform materials within business cases to support our requests - the platform is now a trusted tool to quote from.
Renewal is due in January, and we are planning to renew this.
