Overall Satisfaction with Brightmine

Brightmine is an excellent "one stop shop" of HR resource, from updates on HR legislation to HR theory and a very large library of templates and other resources. This helps the team to maintain a systematic and uniform approach to providing an HR service in the knowledge that they are backed up by current best practice.

Pros

  • Up to date relevant discussion on HR topics i.e the forthcoming election.
  • Library of resources
  • Best practice process flows

Cons

  • The brand name could be more "HR" related and recognisable
  • Confusing login process UK ip addresses should automatically just have the UK site option
  • Pages look a bit dated, could be more colourful
  • Piece of mind that Brightmine has best practice resources and up to date legislation meaning less legal costs.
  • Cost saving as it's a combined resource and saves time.
We have found that the template letters have been an excellent tool as they provide all the "has to include" elements such as employees being accompanied and right to appeal. The template letters have all these built in so there's need to double check best practice.
Brightmine send very regular i.e several a day e-mails with relevant topical information. During the current election period they have provided excellent insight into the different Parties manifesto's and the specific possible impacts to HR. A good example is the comprehensive guide they have produced on ethnicity pay gap reporting.
We specifically liked that Brightmine is separate from the CIPD
