Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro
Although I was not part of the team procuring UKG Pro for the organization, I used it as an HR administrator. I used it to access employee information, benefits information, and effective dates. I also used it to take time off and view the organizational chart. I am currently using BambooHR, which is my preferred human resources software.
Pros
- Benefits management.
- Performance Reviews (360).
- Payroll
Cons
- Job Posting.
- ATS & Hiring Processes.
- Onboarding & Offboarding Checklist and notifications.
- Compatible with growing companies.
- Compatible with benefits management.
- Compatible with payroll & direct deposit.
We were able to centralize and manage benefits and payroll through UKR Pro. This cut down costs, as both payroll and HR could use the same software to do their jobs. However, we were not able to centralize and manage ATS through UKG Pro. We used an alternative software called iCIMS for that.
For productivity, it was increased when HR and payroll collaborated because we used the same system. Benefits management was also made simple because some of it was done through UKR Pro, like effective dates, but more in-depth benefits administration was done through the insurance software from SunLife.
I prefer BambooHR overall. It has a very robust ATS and is more user-friendly. As a Canadian, UKG Pro is better for payroll administration. I also really enjoy the HR Webinars that BambooHR puts on for its customers. The BambooHR Virtual Summit is a great perk to having BambooHR. It is completely free for BambooHR users, and you can get some credits from SHRM.
