Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer
TeamViewer is an essential end-user computer support tool that provides seamless remote connectivity, monitoring and end-point protection for all computer assets within the company. TeamViewer solves the cumbersome problem of remote support and connectivity in an ever-growing remote workforce. The tool also provides us with reporting and monitoring to ensure our end-points are protected at all times with access only a click of a button away in-case there is an issue requiring IT's attention. The ability to connect, communicate and stay connected to our assets gives peace-of-mind to the IT support team.
- Remote connectivity Support
- Ease-of-Use for non-technical staff
- Endpoint protection
- Meeting & communication software
- Easy management and configuration of end-points
- Lightweight and trustworthy application
- Allowing for trusted connections on known computers and networks
- Lower bandwidth connection options
- Remote video/voice quality
- More levels of grouping in console
- TeamViewer has allowed us to cut our contracted remote support staff saving thousands of dollars on support costs overall
- TeamViewer provides all the functionality of an enterprise grade endpoint protection tool at half the cost
- TeamViewer can be used also as a meeting and collaboration tool as an added feature to the remote software
- TeamViewer allows us to remotely manage and access our core server infrastructure, allowing for less time in-front of the servers cutting travel and overtime costs
TeamViewer is the middle-man between the enterprise tool Kaseya NOC Services and the lightweight tool LogMeIn Pro. TeamViewer provides the functionality of monitoring and reporting while easy to use and easy to deploy - sometimes with one click on a button you're connected. While it doesn't have the core-system admin functionality of Kaseya NOC Services and the rootkit tools, it does provide remote connectivity in a very optimized way. The TeamViewer app is more widely used and trusted in IT then LogMeIn Pro and we decided TeamViewer as the cost difference was negligible

When computers are in need of support that are non-domain joined or are legacy machines lacking documentation TeamViewer is there to save you from a headache! End-users can install the remote agent on their machine without local admin rights with the click of a session-code, created by the admin or support technician. The session code can be configured with a name and properties to then save the details of that asset. This has saved our support techs many times when working on machines that may be out-of-date, out-of-sync or no local-admin password available.
Simply put, with TeamViewer and their suite of security features we are confident in our cyber-security approach to remote assistance and end-point protection. We never doubt the integrity of a connection or of a report/alert that is received. TeamViewer is used on our sensitive machines that hold data of our customers and patients, it is imperative to have a tool that is HIPAA compliant and has safeguards in place to ensure this sensitive information is kept private with no possibility of exposure through a TeamViewer session.
TeamViewer Feature Ratings
Using TeamViewer
5 - We use TeamViewer primarily for the remote assistance functionality as well as the endpoint monitoring. We've expanded the use of TeamViewer to internal teams that require remote connectivity to computerized equipment for core-competency related activities to our operations. This allows the business to quickly and seamlessly work on multiple devices in different locations at the same time.
2 - TeamViewer is a very easy to use and easy to support tool. The fact that we only have 2 in-house resources managing TeamViewer tells you how easy and trustworthy of a tool it really is. The types of skills required to support TeamViewer are found in any IT support resource, IT operations manager or IT management professional.

Evaluating TeamViewer and Competitors
- Price
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Product Reputation
- Prior Experience with the Product
Price, we needed a stable and secure tool that provided end-user remote assistance in an ever-growing remote workforce. The price for TeamViewer is extremely valuable for the service that you receive. TeamViewer stands up to the most expensive assistance tools and continues to provide more functionality and features providing even further value to the decision of implementing the tool
If I had to go through another evaluation cycle of remote assistance tools I would have end-users and support technicians use the tools in a pilot setting to gather feedback. I would also provide tricky scenarios like firewalls and restrictive accounts to test the integrity of the tool. The ability for us to test different tools in different environments would tell us what is best suited overall. I have no doubts TeamViewer comes out on top each time.
