Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for a whole host of things. Primarily, it is a workshopping tool for in-person and remote employees. We've used it to do workshops, evaluate product and brand design solutions, and design sprints. We regularly use it to collate and analyze quantitative and qualitative data.

Pros

  • Collaboration
  • Flexible use cases.
  • Collation of many ideas in one place.

Cons

  • With so many boards, the browsing experience is sometimes tricky.
  • Clearer management of board permissions would help.
  • Some things like connection arrows connecting to the bounding box of the sticky, rather than the sticky itself, can irritate a designer like me!
  • Improved productivity.
  • Increase alignment.
  • Faster design iterations.
I wasn't directly involved in the implementation of Miro. However, I know there was a quick expansion of use, and getting people on the system on short notice was sometimes tricky. This was less clear from my perspective because I can send invites to anyone, but they have to request permission to access, which sometimes requires a license. This slows things down.
It's allowed us to very quickly formulate ideas and center them around a single source of ideas and truth. It's also better to expose our thinking to one another so that we can make better decisions.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is great for anyone who needs a flexible sketchpad to write down ideas and collaborate with a small or large team. Basing meetings and workshops around Miro and applying smart time management with things like the timer function allows meetings to be far more productive and stay on track versus typical, open-ended meetings.
