We have signed on for the full training package and get frequent emails set to "test" employees current security awareness and then provide training and feedback on the outcomes. Email security, in particular, is a big threat as we have a high volume of external communications over a very broad user base with varying degrees of computer literacy. It is vital to ensure the staff are aware of the potential risks and are upskilled in identifying them as well as taking the correct actions to mitigate the threat to the business.
  • Frequent "test" emails
  • Feedback on responses
  • Ongoing training
  • great engagement
I believe Hoxhunt is a great solution for any business wanting to create staff awareness around the real threat of cybercrime. Large businesses with large staff numbers and high external customer engagement will make them more susceptible to online threats, while a small entity with low user numbers will be less likely to need a 'full-scale" approach - although, you can never be too safe.

As phishing attacks and scams get more elaborate, employees need to be regularly reminded. Hoxhunt is used for regular micro-training sessions that keep users vigilant without consuming too much time that it's burdensome or overly disruptive. On top of that, the training is gamified and generally encouraging, so that users feel a sense of progress and accomplishment for regularly investing in this skillset.
  • Well-designed training emails
  • Clean, friendly user interface
  • Encouraging gamification system
  • Better highlighting missed emails or training sessions - reminders to go through them.
  • Options to carry out supplemental training exercises to partly make up for a missed training
  • Automatically link vacation autoresponders to cue hoxhunt to vacation mode
Any organization with data that might be valuable for phishers and scammers (which is basically all organizations) can benefit from the robust and friendly training interface provided by Hoxhunt.

We use Hoxhunt for IT security issues. It's great because it's easy and really intuitive. Also for general matters people are usually busy for security trainings or to pay attention to the general phishing threats and that's where Hox makes a huge impact. With this "competition" and in a good humor with dashboards and all that visual part, people starts to report the security threats and you feel more smart and more connected. Seems you are doing a darn good job. So before you were going to hit bottoms and click everywhere but now you know about Hoxhunt and understand there is all this phishing hunt competition so you want to improve your marks and be better. That sounds really nice!
  • Report IT Threats
  • Secure the IT environment with analysis and small training
  • hunt for phishing with the participation of the workers
  • More games in different areas than phishing
  • partner with companies to provide annual training in the same cool way
  • real prices for top performers
I really enjoyed Hoxhunt. I think there is room to improve so that's why a 9 instead of a 10.
Hoxhunt can fit in any company that need to secure their perimeter. People will start to understand more and be smarter just joining the program.
I feel this is a great way to make resources to be aware of real threats and avoid those.

Hoxhunt in my organization provides continuous, automated phishing simulations that are personalized for each employee. It helps me tackle phishing challenges by simulating realistic scenarios, sent to me via email regularly. When I interact with a simulation, Hoxhunt provides immediate feedback; educating me if I fall for the simulation or reinforcing good behavior if I report it. The program adapts to my learning pace, becoming more challenging as I improve my detection skills. This altogether helps me create awareness about the latest phishing techniques. The Hoxhunt interface is user-friendly and engaging, very easy and fun to use.
  • User-friendly, engaging interface
  • Feedback after each training
  • Keeping scores, tracking my progress
  • Improve the vacation mode
  • Provide the same amount of emails by week/month to all employees so that everyone has equal chances to get the points
For me, neurodivergent person (with ADHD) it's really hard to focus on trainings. Hoxhunt is the first application promoting cyber-security awareness and educating users that actually works for me. It changes every time, and its game-like interface creates fun and easy-to use experience for me. Therefore, I see it as a perfect tool for neurodivergent employees.
I cannot think of any place where it could be less appropriate.

As a user I see Hoxhunt being used as a way to train employees within my business on safe online practices, particularly related to emails, such as avoiding phishing. Depending on one's performance, particularly if one is making mistakes, appropriate online training is organised for the individual. There is also pretty effective reward and recognition for people who are "doing well".
  • Relevant training content
  • Engaging visuals
  • Effective reward and recognition
  • Positive engagement
  • Just the right level of detail
  • Provide a periodic summary of what one is doing well, where one has room to improve
  • The visuals look a little amateurish
I have found Hoxhunt to be very effective in teaching online safety, particularly with regards to managing your mail box. The "test" content they stimulate is timed right, high quality and engaging. The education is relevant, it has kept me curious (I almost look forward to the next challenge), and made my online behaviour safer.

It's mainly used for testing/training employees on security breaches/vulnerabilities when using email. It provides knowledge and challenges on what to watch out for in emails and what to do when one receives certain types of emails. There are also rankings within the company and departments so one can see their individual ranking and performance.
  • Examples of dangerous emails
  • Phishing emails are very convincing
  • The rankings and challenges are really engaging
  • May have an option for frequency of challenges
Currently, there are a lot of concern regarding securing organization networks and data. I think Hoxhunt is a great tool in educating and practicing employees and organization members in spotting potential dangerous. Emails have been a notorious source of security/data breaches and it is a necessity that people are aware of how networks and private information could be hacked/stolen through dangerous emails.

The Hoxhunt emails and quizzes were very useful to raise awareness of email phishing. It was well explained, how to better spot possible phishing emails and the new tricks that are used. I would recommend it. Hoxhunt produced test emails every 1-2 weeks, and checked if the employees are flagging them as 'phishing' email in the Outlook application.
  • Detailed description of techniques used in phishing emails
  • interesting Quizzes
  • Fun way to get badges, and levels
  • Send test emails less frequent
Well suited in every business which is using email as main communications, so probably most businesses.

  • Expand product offering
  • Relevance of recording missed cyberthreats (three were before my onboarding)
Hoxhunt is fantastic for the ease and convenience it provides for easy reporting and containment of threats. It is also very easily integrated into existing email platforms like Gmail. It provides adequate training to identify phishing threats and emails and ensures a culture of continuous improvement and awareness of cybersecurity threats.

I think Hoxhunt is very useful and make me comfortable to manage my emails also filter the suspect one. I use Hoxhunt when I receive any strange email, to confirm that if I should click any link or not. Moreover, if the mail I have got is "low risk" by Hoxhunt, I can re-preview the mail as well.
  • Scanning the risk of any mail
  • Report the suspect email
  • Help me practice by the example of spam email, actually it's fun too!
  • Maybe have special notification if any suspect email sent
  • Monthly report of emails I've got in month
  • Protect from miss-clicking any suspect link
When I got the suspect strange email and I am not sure if it virus+spam or not. I used Hoxhunt to scanning the risk of the email, in case it is low risk then I trustly click the email. If it high risk, I would delete the email + report as scam.

Hoxhunt is an opt in email "game" to make sure we are understanding how scammers are trying to gather or steal information through email. The emails are varied and stretch your ability to recognize different methods to try to scam people.
  • Teaches new methods scammers are trying to steal information.
  • Keeps us on our toes by providing randomly timed emails to test us.
  • Shows how a person ranks relative to the company as a whole.
  • After many emails, it becomes easier to understand it is a "Hoxhunt" email just by a few common items in the email.
Although it is not perfect and it becomes easier to catch a Hoxhunt email, it is still a good tool to keep one on their toes.

Hoxhunt is a super useful tool we use in the company where I work to prevent cyber problems. Since we have super high standards for cybersecurity, I use this tool to analyse all the emails that look suspicious, Hoxhunt responds always in a couple of seconds and this gives the security click on links or to download files avoid unpleasant situations. I really like the tool and I use it very often.
  • It takes just a few seconds to respond
  • it's accurate
  • it's easy to find in the platform
  • I love the ranking system
  • Only once, I experienced that the Hoxhunt button was not reacting and I have restart my laptop
  • It would be ideal if the system could analyse all the inbound emails just to avoid clicking every time I am concern about an email, or the system could tag immediately those emails with phishing links
  • In the telephone is not very easy to use/click on the Hoxhunt button, so I only use it on my laptop and when I receive suspicious emails that I read on my telephone I swap to my laptop to run Hoxhunt, but I never do it on the phone
This is a difficult one, but Hoxhunt suits perfectly for all the external emails I receive.

I work for a software development company and we sometimes handle with personal information. So we have to be very cautions with phishing and data leak, so Hoxhunt is a great tool to help us train and develop awareness to not believe every email we receive. Now me and my colleagues always ask each other if the email is real or not. And the best thing is it is fun to have it, it generates a competition so you always strive to be better so you can lead the competition among your colleagues, at least this is what happens here.
  • It helps train security awareness in a totally new way
  • it promotes discussion about web security
  • it always try to show how we are in the company, so it stimulates competition, in a good way
  • the emails sent from Hoxhunt are very well built
  • it could improve on the evaluation schedule, I am not sure when it began nor when it would end, so my score is not very clear to me
  • it could have something like a monthly/quarter competition with awards, like a 10 dollar gift card
sometimes people are not aware of cyber security risks, and even though companies buy and use the best security systems, the last line of defense is the user, so the best way to avoid having issues we security is to have trained people. Hoxhunt applies to the people that have to deal with many emails and sensible information. I think that every IT or technology company should use Hoxhunt. I think Hoxhunt may not be useful to companies that don't have to worry about emails.

Training regarding security both within the company and outside
  • Gives a lot of real life examples
  • sends good phishing emails to see if you will catch on or not
  • is interactive and fun
  • makes it a bit competitive so that you want to take more trainings
  • I'm bummed about the missed emails, I generally delete what looks like spam or that it comes from suppliers, so I guess I should report it, instead of delete it, or I may be on vacation, but Hoxhunt has things in place for that
it has helped me learn about my rights regarding data privacy, which I did not know about and also I was able to catch quite a few malicious emails that could have compromised my email and the company network.

We randomly receive all types of potentially dangerous emails and we are rewarded with points based on spotting those emails. Once flagged, we get a walkthrough of the flags presented in the emails, along with reminders of how to stay electronically safe. I pass this learning on to my elderly mother - to help her stay safe as well.
  • Hoxhunt provides a good range of sample emails to make sure you can spot malicious emails.
  • Hoxhunt does a great job of explaining all of the examples.
  • Hoxhunt does a great job of showing the progress of your knowledge.
  • It would be nice if Hoxhunt provided the math behind their percentage rankings so I could know how I could move the up the list.
I think Hoxhunt does an amazing job of providing real-world examples of malicious emails, and does a great job of breaking down each component that is a possible red flag. It is also comforting to know that Hoxhunt is there, so that I can always check emails that I am unsure of. I value the knowledge Hoxhunt has provided to me.

We use Hoxhunt as a learning tool and also as a verifying tool for suspicious mail activity. It gives us very good examples on what tools does the cyber attackers uses and in this way i think we are more prepared for real situations. During the training I received very realistic simulation which really put our knowledge on test.
  • Simulate real cyber attacks
  • Explains the background and the logic of each attack type.
  • Has a very good rewarding system where you can compete with colleagues.
  • Some extra training possibilities, so when we have the time, we can access them.
It is the most useful for person who work with a lot of emails, valuable information where attention on details is critical. It prepares the user on what to keep in mind and how to filter the mails. I think that in closed networks where access to external is limited or forbidden it could be less useful, but some advice is also welcomed here.

  • Integration with Outlook, missing Hoxhunt button sometimes
  • Access to Hoxhunt outside of Email

[...] uses Hoxhunt to help employees remain aware of potential cyber issues using real world applications by periodically sending emails containing traps or enticements. Over time and through continued education/explanation of methods fraudsters use technology communications to lure us into providing them access to our information, we become conditioned to look for and identify oddities in the communications we receive.

Hoxhunt is smartly integrated into the corporate mailing platform. of our organization. Looks like takes into account lots of information regarding employee (does an employee park their car on employer's premises, does they have a business trip soon, did they ordered something recently etc.) and sends tricky messages, that could easily catch you off guard. In this way an employee treats almost every mail received as a potential attack and takes it seriously. It teaches us not to react immediately even on very urgent mails, but think twice first. That significantly reduces the human cybersecurity risk, making social engineering hard to implement. In matters of your company and in your own life.
  • Pretends to be a reliable, well known sender in order to make a reader concentrated on mail content.
  • Provides us with the perfect, well designed webpage full of statistics, ratings, nice awards to chase. Here your progress improves your virtual shield.
  • Can know everything about your corporate life (looks like your company deliberately shares some triggering information: did you ordered pizza for you team using a corporate card, are waiting for a parcel delivering, do you have or had business subscription etc.) That makes hox-mails you receive much more spicy.
  • There is a vacation mode when you won't receive hox-mails, but what about sick leaves?
  • Maybe some extra spicy mode to send mails even more often?
  • Show more statistics (e.g. average reaction time).
Hoxhunt perfectly covers almost every corporate scenario (both routine scenarios like "please review the report" ,"review your last corporate expenses" and urgent patterns like "you scratched your colleague's car on the parking", "blocked access", "immediate action required"), but sometimes it manages to send (maybe by an algorithm mistake) less appropriate mails like dedicated to another company's branch on other continent ("you just ordered pizza from pizzeria in New York", while working from Denmark, or in language you don't understand).

Hoxhunt teaches people to be conscious regarding their emails and think before they click. The randomness of frequency of the Hoxhunt emails sent makes it trickier. You might forget that such a teaching game is on and click. But I myself remember each and every Hoxhunt mails that I have clicked. I have learned my lesson and I have a pretty good streak ongoing. I recommend this to large organisations with high number of contributors that you cannot advice and teach individually to behave in a responsible way in the email universe.
  • Variety of examples how people are being tricked via emails.
  • Training cards giving small info session learnings.
  • The gamified approach.
  • Modifications they make based on customer requests.
  • The Hoxhunt 'button' took a long time to integrate into the new version of Outlook.
  • Transparency of criteria receiving points in the score board could be better.
  • Mobile device scalability could be better.
Suites well in large organisations. The way they use names from inside the organisation as senders of the emails (Head of HR, CEO) is good to shake your thought on what you can click and what not (and would the CEO himself send you an urgent message). Teaching by mistake and success.

Currently, Hoxhunt is being used for phishing training at my organization. The main business problem we are trying to address is to make the employees vigilant in identifying the phishing emails.
  • Once a week, there's a phishing email to ensure employees are reporting
  • Virtual Badges are given for constantly identifying the phishing emails
  • It also lets people to set holiday mode on, so that not identifying the phishing email during the holiday period does not get reported as "failure to identify"
  • When spice mode is turned on, it becomes predictable that we get a phishing email for the current week. Could be improved to make it unpredictable
  • Reward for reporting the phishing emails
  • No other suggestions
I work for client who has currently incorporated Hoxhunt. In my day-to-day works I'm able to be aware of identifying such fake emails both in personal and official mailboxes.
