We use Planview AdaptiveWork to manage our Professional Services software deployment projects. We build standardized project plans and milestones to manage the deployment and time tracking. We also use reporting features to track monthly financials and other custom business metrics.

We have created many custom actions to simplify tasks and validate data or enforce governance. We have also created multiple views that customize the end user experience, streamlining what information is available per view to kee the use focused on the tasks at hand. We have also utilized dashboards to give "status at a glance" information with the ability to drill down into the specifics This has helped provide better information for management decision making and also helped improve overall productivity of the end users

Integrations

We have integrated with SaleForce. This helps link our Sales activities with our delivery team to provide richer information and strengthen the relationship between the two organizations.

Process Improvement

We have been able to move from 90% custom SOWs to an ala carte SKU based delivery system. By creating repeatable, scalable and standardized delivery modules, we can create reusable project workflows with the look and feel of a customized project without the overhead of truly customized work.

Planview AdaptiveWork was the right size, at the right price point that fit our customization and integration flexibility. It is intuitive to use but allowed us to add complexity as our needs grew

The tool is pretty intuitive and relatively easy to and navigate. We have setup a process where a "won" project in SalesForce creates a base project in Planview AdaptiveWork and then sends notifications that a new project has arrived. We then apply the appropriate template to match SKUs that has been sold and assign project resources. From there the project manager uses Planview AdaptiveWork daily to track project progress and enter status information. Ultimately financial milestones are tracked and processed, leading to project completion
