Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro to track work done using dependency diagrams and work done, to illustrate problems and the ideas used to solve those problems, tracking ideas and breakthroughs for future onboarding of team members and encouraging seamless collaborating between team members on project work. The work we do is primarily in the regulatory space and software dev.

Pros

  • Dependency tracking
  • Fluid collaboration
  • Illustrating ideas

Cons

  • More tools and objects for creating diagrams
  • More consistent memory of the last frame worked on
  • More integration between related software (Intellij functionality)
  • Improved idea formation
  • Quick project ramp up
  • Archive of work done for the future team
The implementation of Miro is functional and easy to use. Anyone can pick up and use it, though the more nuanced things like shortcuts take time to learn.
It is integrated with a variety of other applications like Jira, which makes ticket tracking and progress easy to see and understand. It would be awesome to see some integration with IDEs to directly see work done.
It allows my team to coordinate and collaborate seamlessly and with easy - we can quickly establish work that needs to be done and who will be assigned with what. It is also invaluable with onboarding new team members, seeing previous dependency diagrams eases the ramping onto new projects.
