Overall Satisfaction with Miro
As a freelance footwear designer and developer, I use Miro as a collaboration platform to share, discuss, and advance ideas with my clients. The scope of my Miro use case spans from the start of a project, such as design sketch reviews, to the end of my project involvement, such as documenting product photography during the launch phase. Although my use cases are broad, the goal remains the same: collaboration with transparency in communication. Miro becomes a platform to keep records of discussion comments through intuitive features like sticky notes and mentions, allowing the client to go back and see how the project has progressed holistically.
Pros
- Intuitive UX/UI Features.
- Advance Commands and Functions.
- Collaboration Oriented.
Cons
- Standalone Desktop App Improvements (e.g., no clear benefits compared to using it on search engines).
- Upload Feature Improvements (e.g., files/images are uploaded randomly on the board).
- AI Integration (e.g., partnering with platforms such as Vizcom, Midjourney, New Arc, etc.. for creative idea generation on the spot).
- Enabled accountability and accessibility across multiple teams.
- We have provided a one-stop solution for idea-sharing and discussion without purchasing other collaboration software.
- Improved productivity because everyone involved can visually track and see project completion progress.
Miro has tremendously and positively impacted how my clients and I share and discuss ideas globally through many different time zones. As a freelance creative, Miro is a game-changer. In-person discussion and feedback were essential to the traditional way of collaborating. However, with the impact of the global pandemic and technological advancements, Miro has allowed platform users to collaborate seamlessly in a modern fashion. For example, I utilize intuitive features such as the comment function to notify and allow other parties to respond at their earliest convenience. This new way of working has allowed me to save time by not having to schedule virtual calls to receive feedback but rather review and give feedback directly on the whiteboard.
