Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro anytime I need to collaborate and co-create with colleagues, and sometimes even when we meet face to face. I'm also using it alone to record and structure ideas and prepare presentations... I've also used it sometimes as a personal Kanban tool, but I'm not using the Kanban Miro feature. It helps me organize my work flexibly, not in a column-only format.

Pros

  • Easy rearrangement and formating of elements on the board.
  • Great tools for workshops - like the timer, voting, private mode.
  • Frames to organise things on the board and find things when there is a lot.

Cons

  • Have more formatting options for text and tables.
  • Be able to have more than one owner on the board. It is very frustrating to not allow someone else to perform the actions that only the board owner can do.
  • Increased collaboration especially remotely.
  • Thanks to increased collaboration, more effective workshops and trainings.
  • Increased knowledge sharing. By having everything hosted in the same environment, it is easy to share knowledge, whether it is how we designed a workshop, how we delivered training or the information we got as an output of a collaboration session.
I can't even remember how we were able to work in the past without Miro! It's become indispensable, and it's hard to pinpoint specific points. Whenever we are on a call starting to have ideas and collaborate in my company, it is a reflex: "Let's open a Miro board." We rarely do anything without it. Before Miro, we used a shared document, added comments, and used review modes. The big difference is that on any of the shared documents (ppt, doc, xls...), it never provides the flexibility of organizing the information, it never offers tools to manage the collaboration, it's never good enough to work in real-time together and see what the others are doing. Miro impacts collaboration positively because it feels like you are in a room together using Post-it notes or other physical artifacts. It breaks down the barriers of remote working.
None of these platforms provide the depth in features and make it easy to use them as Miro does. The only problem with Miro is that the no-on-premise version is a no-go for some corporations. Hence, I have used these other applications, which I hate compared to Miro. Frankly, I don't see any of them matching Miro's quality. Yellow is the worst; don't get me started on it. It is not comparable. The Mural would be the one that could compete, but I wouldn't say I like the interface. I don't understand the logic. I find it less easy to take in my hands. Klaxoon lacks many features, which is not as bad as Yellow, but still not comparable to Miro. When I say Klaxoon and Yellow are not comparable to Miro, unfortunately, that is not what some Corporate companies think.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is my #1 go-to tool for everything, really, and especially when it comes to collaboration, workshops, training, organizing my ideas, brainstorming, planning my work, and presentations. I would even happily ditch PowerPoint in exchange for Miro. I use it multiple times a day. I would not use any other application. I'm extremely frustrated when I have clients who don't have access to it.
