Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is providing an excellent platform for collaboration when working remotely in planning and process management. We have been using it heavily in our sprint planning session, Sprint retrospective sessions for amazing collaboration from a remote team. Miro is our defacto tool to create process flow diagrams and architecture diagrams. Recently I started using it for presentations and online polls for better participation.

Pros

  • Architecture Diagram
  • Remote Collaboration
  • Polls
  • Story points collaboration during sprint planning

Cons

  • Exporting board with various format and size
  • Free plan should have more features
  • Integration with Slack, Teams
  • Architecture meeting effectiveness improved
  • Mind maps on Miro provided easy to understand flow diagram
  • Remote knowledge management sessions are fun on Miro
I am not very familiar with the Deployment of the Miro application but implementing flow diagrams, single sign-on implementation, and adding various apps from the marketplace is very easy. We have been using Integrated Jira board, Confluence pages, calendar and some of the Microsoft plugins are making life easier for product managers and developers.
Miro's marketplace has a lot of apps for integration. We have used apps like the Confluence page plugin, Jira board integration. It can be used as a whiteboard with colorful sticky notes for an amazing planning session.
During a pandemic when every one of us is working from home from a different city/country, Miro has provided much-needed support for effective collaboration. Getting viewpoints and prioritizing items on the Miro whiteboard is very easy and engaging for everyone.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is a software as a service product for remote collaboration and it effectively does it. It provides a lot of apps for customization and effectiveness. While working remotely on some architecture decisions Miro is an excellent product where everyone can participate and provide input simultaneously. Miro's mind map keeps the audience engaged and makes meetings productive. There are a few things that Miro can improve, like some slide show animation, finding images with transparent backgrounds, etc.
