Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used AVI-SPL to supply our audio video equipment for our Council Chambers, conference rooms, and lobbies. This equipment has allowed to livestream our public meetings, providing greater transparency and encouraging greater public participation. It also helps us preserve recordings of our meetings for posterity. It’s also provided for effectively meeting with other parties that are not able to attend physically.

Support Rating

We initially had a phased installation. Our installation took place during the COVID-19 pandemic and many of the components were backordered. Since we had a phased Installation we ran into many issues with getting components to work correctly. Since the installation was completed, we have still had some issues here and there. However, support has been available each time and we had a technician on site with a couple days. I wish support could’ve been on site much sooner, as there were meetings where we had to improvise without the use of our AV equipment.

Employee Productivity

This is not applicable as we use our AV equipment to facilitate meetings, not remote or hybrid working. It has helped some of us be remote during our council meetings.

AVI-SPL is well suited for those needing audio video equipment for multiple rooms and for venues where many people need to be able to hear and participate in meetings. Smaller venues where microphones and advanced AV equipment would be unnecessary or overkill probably would see less benefits when considering the overall cost.
