Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

At NWA, we continued to grow the operations training team. The trainers were delivering the same materials over and over. By adding Absorb LMS, we could break the training topics into smaller components and deliver via the LMS vs classroom type training. In addition, we're a union environment. Frequently under performers will claim they were not trained on a topic or that the training was inadequate. With Absorb, we're able to easily share training as well as the data to support our position. We were also able to integrate our compliance training, making it easier for the HR team to manage, and also upload employee data straight from our payroll system. It's been great!

Pros

  • Easy to use in terms of creating and deploying training materials
  • Easy to run reports to see user progress
  • The new AI tool with narration--life changer
  • The knowledge check options/quizzes are fabulous

Cons

  • Seeing where resources are attached to training isn't intuitive
  • Should change the software name "Create" to something not frequently used elsewhere
  • Setting up landing pages/dashboards--hard to see/understand the value
  • Reduce trainer headcount expense
  • Streamlined enrollment process for compliance training
  • Increases learning opportunities across the company
  • Improved timeliness in training delivery and learns ability to engage with training (retake training when needed)

Absorb Create is very easy to use. It is also easy to upload documents and have AI take over in providing recommendations. The narration tool has been fabulous in developing content more quickly.

We have a couple of third-party training resources. Our compliance training is mandatory and is now set up to automatically enroll new employees. Our other third-party training is voluntary and yet provides our employees the opportunity to develop skills should they elect to do so.
The team at Absorb has been very supportive and helpful. They worked at our pace and have always been available to answer questions--even if the answers might be found in the learner portal. One thing I've really enjoyed in working with Zoe is that when presented with a problem, she'll shows us a variety of options. Then, we'll discuss which one will work best in resolve our problem. She's been fantastic.

Well suited: Companies where there is continuous training on the same topics. Companies where the work can be complicated, and having refresher training is needed. Companies that are spread across multiple locations and may not have onsite training support.

Less appropriate: I can't think of one. Maybe a company that doesn't see the value of employee development?
