We utilize WinZip to handle the compression and extraction from a wide variety of compressed file formats (rar, tar, tgz, zip, etc.). The ability to utilize a central platform to handle all of the different extension types and formats has made it much easier on us when it comes to accepting compressed file/folder formats. Plus the ability to navigate said files prior to unzipping has been extremely helpful. We also, occassionally, utilize the image tool for certain use cases.

WinZip is used for transferring log files for server issues to the vendor and project files for research projects to collaborators. It is also great for backing up files and folders for individuals or projects to keep disk size to a reasonable size.

We use WinZip in our corporate environment to help compress and encrypt large files for easier deployment and transfer. WinZip makes SW deployment much easier for our team to manage. This helps drastically in our Device Break/Fix processes where users need to be addressed quickly and efficiently, to be back up and running as soon as possible.

WinZip is an asset to our Web Designer. It has allowed us to unzip massive files containing photos from events. WinZip has also been handy for packing files for distribution. Packing a zip file onto a flash drive makes it more accessible without running out of space or using multiple flash drives to transport files.

Since we send and receive large attachments during the business day, it is important to zip and unzip files quickly. WinZip allows us to do just that. Encrypting files being sent and received is also important due to the environment in which we operate. WinZip is trusted to do just that.

Winzip is used to zip files to reduce the size of data in transactions and also to unzip data received from other users. It helps to reduce overall data size to reduce network bandwidth usage. It also provides an extra layer of security by allowing users to set passwords for zipped content. Big-size Excel and Word files are compressed at a good level to share easily across any platform with security.

WinZip is the standard in my book for condensing and uncompressing large files. We use WinZip almos daily to compress large files before sending to clients and colleagues. Because WinZip is an industray standard, most all clients are familiar with the software and already have it installed.

We use WinZip on a daily basis to compress graphics files for easier distribution amongst colleagues and clients, as well as archiving jobs. Having the ability to compress entire job files in one place for archiving has allowed us to save on our server and cloud space. It also removes all the clutter files can typically contain when working with graphics. We use compression with every job, and WinZip has served us well over the years.

We utilize WinZip to compress documents and provide password protection when emailing files to clients. Often, we have to send large files that house confidential information, and they are larger than 25 megs, so most email providers won't allow these files to be sent. With WinZip, those files can be encrypted and compressed, thereby safely securing the files and reducing their overall file size.

I use WinZip to compress files that I send to clients. Generally they are mostly PPts and Video files and limited bandwidth and file size restrictions prompts me to zip them first. It also reduces cost as data used is less. I also use it to unzip files I am sent by customers and suppliers

I've used WinZip for over a decade as our default file compression solution (Zip/Un-Zip).

It helps us to save both time and money and is one of a small handful of applications that we regularly update when new versions come out.

WinZip is only installed on a couple of computers in our organization due to the nature of WinZip being pretty much a household name at this point. People see zip folders and don't know what it is so SEO on Google tells them WinZip. It's not being used by any special departments or teams, only a few older users who do not know about open source applications like 7z.

It is somewhat being used across the whole organization, along with the departmental/individual basis. It is more so readily available across the whole organization for end-users to choose to install/use on their individual machines.

It addresses the business problem of finding a ZIP/compression solution that works seamlessly across various operating systems, without having to install additional software to use the files that were created by the ZIP program.
