From Tape to Disk - Veeam does it all!
We used Symantec Backup Exec which was very out of date and tape driven. Veeam was an excellent replacement and we could actually backup EVERTHING instead of just a select few critical VMs. We also needed something could easily move to a remote space and out of our main network area.
Several years ago, when we switched from separate baremetal servers to hosting multiple VMs on a single physical machines, Veeam became the best choice for backup in that situation over the software we were using before. This is also when we added multiple backup points to create redundancy for security purposes.

Does what is says on the tin "if it came in a tin"
We used to use a couple of other solutions prior to veeam, these were direct to server or tape backups, they were clunky, slow and difficult to manage and took a lot of time to manage Under Veeam the process is automated, the feature set has improved significantly over each version without additional costs Experience before and after is night and day, Veeam has made backups managable and controllable

Easy to use and future proof!
The IT department saw a couple of YouTube guides that explained the ease of all workloads we are using within the company. To test the application we set up a server and some clients and simulated disaster scenarios as HDD failure and swapping from different hardware configurations. Restoring the backups to a VM was a very easy process and that certainly impacted the move towards the product.
Price of previous tool, and simplicity of management had us move
The trigger was your sales outreach. The previous solution was not nearly as reliable, it was costly, and did not provide literally total piece of mind. Now, we are saving money with a reliable solution that affords me a great peace of mind.

My VEEAM experience.
Before VEEAM we had multiple different backups backing up Linux and Windows servers or the clients, which were not centrally managed. This had to beunified to lower the administrative power needed. As I had worked with VEEAM before and I performed well. I chose it again. The installation of VEEAM is easily done. Also migrating to a different server is easily done. Just install on the new server, migrate the configuration using a GUI and import this file on the new server.
We were tired of buggy and unreliable backup software. Our previous backup solutions were causing a great deal of patching and testing patches.

Veeam Data Platform works better than DPM.
I want to rely on my backup solution and that was worth paying for. What caused us to switch to Veeam Data Platform was that Microsoft DPM kept breaking and even had to be reinstalled.

Good Product at a Great Price
Our previous backup appliance had a HUGE learning curve, a fair bit of manual processing, and was very expensive to maintain. The old appliance/software was so bad that we eventually stopped using it completely. We swapped to Veeam Data Platform to replace it for ease of use, more automatic processing and a more economical option.

VEEAM Data Platform is better than it's competitors
Before VEEAM, we had quest rapid recovery and it wasn't all that great. It had issues backing up and restoring sql databases and very slow to restore servers in general.

Veeam - amazing product!
We were bare metal until around 2013, backups and restoes to servers/services were painful and slow. We tried other virtualization backup software and weren't really happy. We made the swap to Veeam due to a suggestion from a friendly customer and haven't looked back since. Veeam has been able to meet and exceed all our backup expectations/needs.

Veeam Data Platform Review
We implemented Veeam Data Platform when moving to a new hyperconverged virtualization platform as the cost could be rolled in to the whole project budget. One main difference up front was the cost as our previous backup solution was free, open-source software. However, there was significant value to be had with ease of operation and the ability to do immutable backups that made the cost worth it.

PHP Veeam review.
Veeam was included in our initial server package for the last server we purchased. We purchased a new license along with a server upgrade we did recently, as the old version wasn't compatible with Hyper-V.

Discovery of Veeam community edition.
The community edition is a good start to begin and see what veeam can do for you.
The save system is the same that others backup software (except the worload system...) so it is more the user interface witch will give you problem than fonctionality. You need to learn a little to find what you want.

Veeam Backup & Replication - A review from an Education perspective
Veeam Backup & Replication was brought into my place of work when I started, so I've always had it whilst I have been here, but I definitely wouldn't want to be without it!
I know there are a lot of other competitors for backup & replication, but Veeam is the one we always come back to & renew with, year after year.

Newest Version Exceeds expectations
our old solution took about half a day to backup. as we are growing this quickly became an issue. we upgrade our storage and implemented veeam and now most workloads are completed within a couple of hours. other solutions have not been this quick and reliable and would choose veeam again anytime

Can you afford not to use Veeam?
Failure to have a good, trusted system backup was the triggering point for purchasing and integrating Veeam. Our other solution was mediocre and would sometimes prove unusable without us knowing it until we needed it. We needed something that we could trust would do exactly what it said it would do and alert us when backups weren't successful and needed attention.

Veeam Backup: best for virtual infrastructure.
The old backup application (Backup Exec) was really bad at backing up the virtual environment at the time we started using VMware, so we had to change our backup infrastructure anyway.
