We selected QA Wolf to replace out former Cypress suite of automated tests. The QA Wolf team provides our front-end automation coverage allowing our internal QA resources to focus on other areas of our development lifecycle and mobile automation testing while trusting QA Wolf with our web automation. We currently have more than 500 tests running in parallel via QA Wolf for our existing functionality and additional coverage requests forthcoming for upcoming features.
  • QA Wolf provides quick development of test coverage based on our requests and the priorities of those requests set by us. They honor our needs and execute on them quickly.
  • QA Wolf provides timely feedback on test failures via a bug report and verification of failures. The team quickly engages our personnel to determine if a bug report is valid and assists as needed with troubleshooting the issue.
  • QA Wolf provides outstanding, first class customer support through their professional staff and quick replies to our questions or concerns.
  • Our situation is somewhat unique such that we have internal QA members liaising with our QA Wolf partners. This has been ideal for communicating and effectively identifying test coverage needs. So, unfortunately for this question, we have not experienced any issues needing improvement in our relationship with QA Wolf.
QA Wolf is well suited to meet with, discuss, and evaluate a customer's needs for automated web test coverage. They have experienced QA engineers on their team who relate well to what the customer is seeking with automation coverage from an external partner, and they ask the right questions to determine the best approach for producing and delivering that coverage. During the exploratory phase, we had very frequent and very helpful communications from our CSM and the engineers as we developed our plan. They then delivered on that plan, successfully. If you are seeking automated mobile coverage, QA Wolf is not your solution.
  • While I am not privy to the actual financial numbers associated with our change, I can articulate what we executed. We shifted away from a third-party, off shore partnership who was supplementing our internal QA staff with contractors writing Cypress tests and the management of Cypress Cloud, to eliminating four off-shore positions and terminating our Cypress Cloud subscription in order to keep our internal staff members and partner with QA Wolf. This change has been fiscally positive for our overall business objectives.
  • This change also eliminated a time zone delay in communication and oversight between our international personnel maintaining our automation suite and created a more timely update between our staff and our new partners, building confidence that our investment in automation coverage is being managed appropriately.
QA Wolf is quite simply "out of the box" customer friendly and "easy to use". I cannot say that it gets much easier than meeting with the new service provider, discussing needs and expectations, and seeing that plan come to successful execution. It was literally a matter of very brief weeks from initially meeting with QA Wolf and information sharing to them, and seeing our first tests running against our staging environment. It doesn't get much better from a confidence building check-point.
We transitioned away from Cypress to QA Wolf to help eliminate some of the overhead of maintaining our automation test suite for web. We worked closely with QA Wolf to bring our partnership with them and their coverage up to almost 100% parity to our previous Cypress coverage. I say "almost 100%" because we cut out some of our testing scope that was redundant and unnecessary during this work. Trusting QA Wolf to build, maintain, and monitor our front end web testing has allowed us to re-direct our internal QA staff toward increased mobile coverage and mobile testing.
