Paycor's plus and not so plus an HR Administrators Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Paycor for all HR needs including payroll, benefits administration, and time and attendance. We use it daily for reporting purposes and onboarding staff.

Pros

  • Open enrollment-their software is user friendly and has good features for end users and administrators
  • Onboarding-entering new hires is easy
  • Mass Template Upload-you can easily upload mass changes, the system is easy to use.
  • Reporting-their reporting tool is improving and AI is incorporated into it.

Cons

  • Time & Attendance reporting-this can be improved by integrating the functionalities
  • Reporting-customs fields needs to be integrated since you can't run reports with these fields included
  • Manager access-having a better grasp as to what managers can view

Return on Investment

  • Positive ease of open enrollment for employees
  • Time and Attendance needs improvement, the HR team still gets lots of questions about it
  • Efficient mass uploads-this has eased the burden of HR administrative work

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Paycor for all its features. This includes payroll, recruiting, benefits, training and development. One feature that Paycor offered that we didn't have (and needed) was a robust LMS and Leadership training.

Pros

  • Offering a robust LMS
  • User training
  • Benefit platform

Cons

  • the App lacks full usability
  • Reporting is very limited
  • Analytics does not provide accurate data
  • The system is not real-time; we often have to wait hours or overnight

Return on Investment

  • Recruiting and onboarding saves time for both the recruiter and the candidate
  • The ability to run off-schedule payroll has added flexibility and response time
  • Unfortunately, the limited functionality on the App has made it more difficult for team members.

Paycor Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am our Paycor Administrator. I use all aspects of Paycor. Our biggest use of Paycor is for tracking time and processing payroll.

Pros

  • Has a large parameter for programming
  • Allows for industry specific caveats
  • Can accept and process data for a large amount of staff

Cons

  • Listening to their clients thoroughly
  • Too many changes/updates/sunsetting reports
  • Since merging with Paychex, Paycor has begun to over-price their products

Return on Investment

  • Spending too much time having to troubleshoot the time clock, time keeping, or report analytics
  • EDI files are often splattered with errors

We use Paycor for everything employee related.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Paycor for everything employee related. We are running into issues with scheduling and wanting department managers to create schedules but not publish. Then have the property manager approve and then publish the schedule. We also have people with issues in onboarding that we cannot help them with, therefore we have to delete and resend

Pros

  • Employee Profile
  • Analytics
  • LMS

Cons

  • Scheduling
  • Paths

Return on Investment

  • Freed up time having to find a physical employee file

Heading in the right direction but still needs improvement

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it in almost every aspect of HR. From ATS to LMS to Payroll to Performance Management. I really like how everything is centralized here and it has helped us move away from using poorly designed documents and paper forms. It is relatively easy for employees to also log in and get access to their accounts. There isn't 100 versions of it like ADP where someone is logging into the wrong software.

Pros

  • Payroll
  • Applicant Tracking System
  • Performance Management

Cons

  • Customer Service
  • Benefits Advisor
  • Better updates

Return on Investment

  • Recruitment has been way better and wasting less time
  • EDI feeds connecting with BA is helpful
  • LMS has been useful but I think it is also a bit misleading and some trainings are just useless or poorly designed.
