PandaDoc for Sales Deals

Rating: 8 out of 10
February 27, 2025
I am on the sales team, and we use PandaDoc to create agreements to send to clients so they can sign the terms and pay when a deal closes.
  • create a clear set up for clients to read through and sign documents
  • provide a place where clients can securely pay
  • user friendly for the sales team to create agreements
Cons
  • sometimes it is difficult to edit documents
  • more notifications when documents are sent out, reviewed, etc.
  • ability to edit
For the sales team, it is a good resource to use when closing deals. It is a one stop shop for the client to go in, review the quote and terms, and sign and pay within minutes.

We use PandaDoc to draft and submit Business Proposals as well as send clients our terms and conditions prior to them signing up with us as customers. The reminder system and templatization greatly speeds up the drafting and sending of these documents, and the collection of the digital signatures ensures we are compliant legally. This helps us send proposals much faster and easily keep track of the progress and viewing of the documents by our potential clients.
  • Templatization of different documents
  • Reminder system to remind clients to view and sign documents
  • Easily save different pages as templates to add or remove them from future documents
  • Easily collect signatures from clients and view the progress of all documents in one dashboard.
Cons
  • The design of the documents is a bit limiting when compared to something like word or Google Docs.
  • It's not immediately clear on how to add custom images
  • The learning curve to design documents is steep at first but becomes easy after a couple designs.
PandaDoc is well suited for companies that send proposals and terms and conditions to customers for collection of digital signatures. It really helps that you can templatize your documents and have collaborators help you finish the document for you. The dashboard is also a game changer as it gives you one place to view all your active documents and the status of them. You can even use this to collect payments as it integrates with software like QBO.

In our company we use PandaDoc for two purposes: The first is to sign contracts with clients. These contracts usually require signatures of at least four people. On the other hand, we also use it to sign the contracts with employees, the warnings, the agreements we have with them, etc. PandaDoc is the tool we use in general to have legally valid signatures in our company.
  • Sending options: links, sms and emails
  • Reports on the reading and viewing of the documents
  • Reminders on the documents
Cons
  • Signing in an specific order
  • A paid plan with 10-15 documents monthly, like an entry level plan
  • Alerts on the time happening between each signature
creating automatic documents is very easy in the basic plan, I would recomend this to a friend who needs to create and sign more than 30 documents per month.
In the scenario that you need fewer documents, the basic plan is not affordable and I would prefer to use other platforms.
If someone wants to replace DocuSign, I believe PandaDoc has most of the features with an easier setup

Pandadoc has added value to my business but could be improved.

I use PandaDoc every day for creating client proposals for services like SEO, website design, and consulting. The program allows me to use my templates to make similar proposals easily.
  • Replicating exact proposals for new clients.
  • Adding previously created modules to new proposals.
  • Entering information once and having it populated in other relevant places.
Cons
  • Designing proposals for new services has always been more than I could do without help.
  • The proposals often go to clients spam folder.
  • Duplicating a proposal and adding a new client or clearing old client information is not intuitive or easy. Even after replacing the client information, other fields assigned to the old client don't automatically get assigned to the new.
  • When the signer changes, it is difficult to quickly edit without deleting the previous signer and re-adding them as a cc.
The same proposal for a new client is a great use case. Adding new features is a pain. It would be nice if you could specify changes to the template when you're making a new proposal. Switching roles and signers on an already-created proposal is complex.

We needed a product to produce professional-looking proposals with digital signature capability. We tried several market-leading products, and PandaDoc was the only one that delivered the features we needed.
  • Ease of constructing proposals.
  • Digital signing of documents.
  • Professional looking documents.
  • Renewal reminders.
Cons
  • Complex numbered lists.
  • Multi-option solutions in one table.
PandaDoc is excellent for compiling customer proposals and external and internal documents or policies that need to be signed. We use it for acceptable use policies, waiver forms, equipment forms, and any document requiring a signature.
