We sell only online.
We use Checkout.com for online sales of Hotels and Flights and for offline bookings via phone using pay per link. We are actively using the dashboard for reporting, analytics and using as well the dispute management module.
- Reliability of the platform
- Account management: bi-weekly calls and follow up by email or Slack, good understanding of our needs and high engagement
- Technical account manager: as above, high engagement with us and sharing Checkout.com technical roadmap
- Performance: with the recent enhancement in intelligent acceptance,
- Mix of own and third party acquiring: this is much appreciated for a merchant like us to be able to process locally via third party acquiring when Checkout.com does not have its own
- Commercials: some competitors provide better fees, especially for cross border transactions
- Support team: the speed to get an answer can be improved
- We would like more options when it comes to settlement currencies
If cost is the only metric (although it should not be), some alternative providers do better.

- Customer support for specific transactions (which is integrated nicely into the platform)
- Tech support regarding integration, etc. (really quick and very helpful)
- We miss downloadable PDF proofs of specific transactions (both debit and payout). We occasionally need this to prove to the client that we actually processed certain transactions.
But in general, we like the simplicity and user-friendliness of the service (but not at the cost of providing more advanced features, especially with regards to its risk engine).

Incredibly robust payments API with global capabilities

- The reporting around fees charged
- The inability to get fees for a particular transaction till 10-15 minutes after it has happened. We cannot show the exact fees to our customer.
- The excel report of the checkout.com fees is rather crazy and has two different lines for certain fees as well as too many columns. There must be a simpler excel breakdown possible for those who don't want all the details.

There are plenty of in house solutions that Checkout.com offers such as payout solutions, intelligence for fraud etc.
For fraud, Checkout.com offer to help with preventing fraud and can detect clients with suspicious activities which is a great tool especially for brokers who deals with client money. Checkout.com is great at listening to your needs, and adapt or tailor a solution which is right for you. We have had a few cases in which this has been the way.

- Checkout.com is the only provider proactively proposing solutions to optimize our routing strategy to increase conversion rates and reduce costs for more than ten years.
- They have extreme expertise in the area of payments that is not so obvious.
- Regarding IA, the report did not contain much data at the beginning, but they worked on it. This is excellent!
- I would like no limits in volumes due to some questionable stakes.
