We use JobScience organization-wide. It is used by multiple teams, including sales, recruiting, executive, HR, and marketing. We use it for applicant tracking, job management, prospecting, as a CRM, for client management, and for managing our consultants. It is the software responsible for managing our business, which is IT staffing. It is literally the application at the core of our business, and outside of our accounting software, the most important application we use on a daily basis.
  • JobScience is extremely customizable and flexible. This is a strength because you can tailor it to your workflow, rather than having to change your workflow to fit a software.
  • JobScience is the most intuitive ATS / CRM I have ever used. This is particularly important when hiring and training new employees. The faster they can come up to speed on the core software in your business, the faster they can start generating revenue.
  • JobScience has extremely powerful built in reports. I have yet to need a report that I couldn't build using the internal report wizard. It helps us understand all the numbers at the heart of our business, which is critical in decision making situations.
  • JobScience also has powerful automation components. The email alerts and automated tasks you can set up are great and boost efficiency. We use them a lot, and I suspect we may have only scratched the surface.
Cons
  • The resume searching functionality leaves something to be desired. It doesn't do a good job of recognizing Boolean logic, nor does it offer many filters or even columns in the results to narrow results.
  • The extreme customization that you can do can, in some cases (I have heard) lead you down a rabbit hole if you are not careful. Only implement what you need to do your business, then add in more bells and whistles later.
  • The reporting, though powerful, can be a little confusing and takes some time to figure out exactly how it works. Once you have, you can report on almost anything you would ever need. But it does take a little time to get it right.
Any staffing company, IT or in any field, would benefit from selecting JobScience over any other ATS out there, in my opinion. It's the best of breed. It may not be as good a choice for an internal corporate system, as it has a lot of focus on prospecting and client management (being based on Salesforce) and less of a focus on the HR aspects of hiring.

It is used as our primary software for our database of candidates and clients. It is used company-wide. It allows us to have a centralized location where we all can access all of the same information.
  • It is really helpful as a database. It is easy to navigate through to find information for contacts/candidates.
  • The 'List View' feature is one of my favorites. You can use this and customize it to your needs.
  • The applicant tracking system aspect of it is a great tool. You are able to monitor where each applicant is in the application/submittal/hiring process.
Cons
  • The activity tracking would be great if it included live updates. Currently, the updates are delayed by a couple of hours.
  • The task/to-do list/calendar feature needs improvement. More ways to sort and filter the pending tasks would be helpful.
  • It lacks the ability to run more reports.
I think it is best used as a database. I would like if the calendar function could work more like a task/to-do list. The external database that it is connected to also doesn't integrate as well [such as job boards].

Jobscience is the primary CRM for our company. Upper management has full access to everything, and below are the specifics for each position:
  • Recruiters use it to add candidates, upload resumes, log activity and submit candidates to positions.
  • Account Managers use it monitor the status of candidates per job orders for each client.
  • Recruiting Coordinators use it to create prospects, add contacts, delete candidate/client files and merging files and create packets for candidates.
Each user has their own dashboard that was created for them based on their priority and importance.
  • Dashboards: Jobscience allows each end user to have dashboards that are tailored for their position, and you're able to create several different dashboards.
  • ActionGrid: This is a function we use within Jobscience that allows us to filter our settings to match candidates to available positions.
  • Packets: We create packets with Jobscience via Conga that allow us to highlight crucial information for candidates.
  • Logging activity: Their simple features allow us to keep track of every candidate record from many years ago.
Cons
  • Resume: This feature allows us to see each resume for candidates. However, there are many times where we experience error messages.
  • LinkedIn: This allows us to see the candidate's LinkedIn page as well, but we receive errors messages for this as well.
  • Packets: Jobscience allows us to create packets via Conga, but sometimes there's a disconnect between Jobscience and Conga, giving us error messages.
Although Jobscience has features that could use more work, it is well suited for many scenarios, and I would definitely recommend it to my colleagues. The biggest benefit that I see with Jobscience is that, regardless of your job function, you are able to tailor the features within Jobscience, whether you are using it for sales activity or recruiting purposes.

Jobscience is the primary system of record for our front- and middle-office business processes. As a staffing firm this includes being the repository for all of our clients, candidates, job orders, placements, timesheets, invoices, and more.

More than a year ago it became obvious that our legacy ATS was no longer going to be a fit for us (for reasons beyond our control) and that making a change was unavoidable. This the core business problem that Jobscience solves for us.
  • The system is highly configurable.
  • If you have someone with APEX programming experience, you can do virtually anything on the platform.
  • Because Jobscience is built on Salesforce there are many, MANY other systems that can easily connect to it.
Cons
  • There were bits of functionality that were promised during the sales process that ultimately were either not possible, or we were told it would cost extra to add.
  • Their support team is very helpful, but sometimes it takes longer than one would like for items to get resolved.
  • There have been times where Jobscience has made changes to our org without our knowledge, causing confusion and frustration. Something worked yesterday but doesn't today and nobody here made any changes.
Jobscience is a good fit for medium to large organizations, especially those who have various different lines of business and need one system to be able to handle them all. It is very difficult for me to imagine another system being able to accommodate the very different ways of doing business between our departments. Only a highly flexible system could have a chance at doing that.

My company uses Jobscience as a way to store information about potential candidates that we have talked to about certain jobs we are hiring for, in addition to candidates who are industry-related and could be a good fit for jobs we may have to fill in the future. It's one of the main ways our recruiters source for positions. We also use it to track the jobs internally that we launch from various clients. Everyone in our company uses it across all departments. It really helps to organize all of our information and data, and track previous jobs we launched, billing invoices, candidate profiles, all in 1 application.
  • Interface - Jobscience is very user-friendly and the functions my company uses are all very relevant.
  • Personalization - the ability to personalize different settings in a way that works best for you is very helpful.
  • The flow of the overall site - the way everything is set up makes sense in the order it appears.
Cons
  • Multiple users - when multiple users edit a page, it doesn't show that there is someone else on the page and it only lets one person edit which can cause the information to be lost.
  • Action grid - it is a helpful page to use however it is extremely slow and takes a long time to load and can be a bit finicky.
  • It's simple - this is is also a positive, but I also think there could be additional resources added to it to make it more up to date and advanced.
Well suited: Jobscience is really helpful when launching positions internally and tracking where we are in the application and interview process.

Less suited: Tracking candidates that have been in our database throughout the years - there is only so much information that can be saved and tracked, we usually have to update it and can't see where they started off in our database and the career progression they have made.
