My division of the organization uses Airtable to track media asset rights clearance, content updates, and quality checking. These uses primarily relate to the maintenance of content on our Education website. We maintain thousands of educational resources that go through routine updates and require copyright clearance for the use of media assets.

The help section isn't very useful to intermediate users who know the basics but haven't built up to more advanced skills.
Airtable isn't as simple as advertised. There is more of a learning curve than the marketing would have you think. Training my less technically-savvy colleagues in Airtable can be challenging.
I don't care for the implementation of AI features in Airtable. It feels like a useless response to a fad that grows more annoying by the day. For example, I would never trust an LLM to fill in the blanks on my organization's work--it wouldn't "know" what to put in there, anyway. The capacity that goes towards AI features could be better directed towards other things.

Airtable is very well suited to record keeping. My team uses it to track media asset clearance, third party vendors' feedback on our content, and the implementation of that feedback, among other things. It makes it particularly easy for us to pull together visual representations of our progress on projects as well. I would not recommend it to anyone who wants to connect Airtable with Wrike, however, as the price of that is exorbitant.

Across both, I've used Airtable for the following: database to track animal welfare projects, a media pipeline for video creation, a tracker for screening job applicants, a sales database, and so on.

In my experience, Airtable isn't great for budgeting
We use Airtable to track just about everything. From product development to project management, social media management, inventory, client profiles... just about everything.
The ability to keep records in AT and view them in different ways is what makes the platform so useful. As a product gets developed, it's helpful to see different aspects of it. Starting in ideation, we can easily attach colors and raw materials early on. When we're in production, we can keep inventory numbers, sales data, attached to the same record. When we move into marketing, we can connect that record to similar products, so they're all attached to a project. It's such a good, well rounded way of looking at and keeping track of products, ideas, tasks... anything you can think of, really.

Airtable is an ideal platform for small and growing businesses to keep track of just about EVERYTHING they need to keep things running smoothly. It's a great way to keep tasks organized, and keep everyone on the same page with progress on all things.
Our company finds the kanban particularly useful, as products go through a lifecycle from ideation to retirement, it's good to keep a database of what is in production, what's working, and what we've tried before.
I can see the platform being challenging with much larger businesses, but for the small to medium businesses I've used the platform with, it is ideal.
We use a tool that helps us streamline the communication flows with teams not using the Global CRMs. Mainly to report specific key actions that need to be done daily or important escalations that need to be completed within a short SLA and in a structured way. Is also a tool make announcements to different audiences across the company, and a repository of actionable data.

When it comes to event planning, Airtable has saved so much time. We are able to quickly set up registration forms with automated and customized email templates. Then, on the backend, we are able to track RSVPs, make notes, assign roles, check folks in, etc. If we want to send further communication, that is easy to do as well. Checking folks in at events is quick and easy. AirTable is a multi-purpose software that can simultaneously served many needs, from events planning and management to budgeting to reporting on metrics.
Airtable is a tool that's approachable for all stakeholders. It gives a means to create custom automations with easy-on-the-eyes labeling for those who only want a view-only option to make prioritization decisions. Plus, being a web-based software, it can be used for on-the-go events and from mobile. Our team uses it as a source to receive form entries and then prioritize.

My organization used Airtable as a low-code "database" and project management tool. We weren't large enough to need "real" relational databases, and Airtable allowed our nontechnical users to easily perform CRUD operations and visualize information.
