Overall Satisfaction with Writer

Writer is a valuable tool for a solo marketer - brainstorming and getting the ball rolling are often the most difficult and time-consuming tasks, so I use Writer to get the ball rolling.

Plus, the grammar and tone features help to ensure I am keeping the brand voice and standards consistent.

Pros

  • Blog outlining.
  • Rephasing content for social media
  • Brainstorming

Cons

  • I'd like to see an expanded prompt library.
  • It would be good to have a variety of prebuilt voices.
  • Maybe some videos/lessons on how to improve your prompts.
  • Increased the number of articles we produce monthly 3x
  • Helped marketing team focus on strategic improvements.
  • Low cost for these benefits.
I like that it doesn’t use GPT 4 and I can clearly provide sources for the LLM (Master of Laws) - in regulated or more niche spaces this is useful as it helps build a clear tone of voice. The impact here will continue to improve, I believe, as people and programs become more conscious of AI.
I haven't had to use them yet - but I can see them being valuable if I had a team I was working with. I intend to use them more in the future.
I like the way their LLM works, as it feels more tailored to my brand. Plus, the Writer interface is easy to use for the less technically-minded.

Not sure if the other platforms have browser apps, but I like Writer's.

Writer is well suited to slim marketing teams like mine, where brainstorming and early content generation can be a little slow to get off the ground. The brainstorming is particularly useful when you have nobody to bounce ideas off.

I haven't been able to test Writer's team functions, so I can’t say if it would be less useful for teams - but I certainly see the benefit for solo marketers.
