PRTG Network Monitor still leads in value and native app support.
Overall Satisfaction with PRTG Network Monitor
Pros
- Monitoring network devices with push notifications on iOS for any systems having warnings or critical events, like high CPU usage, or total loss of network traffic.
Cons
- Collects snapshots of network availability at specified intervals of time for graphing and re-active network support.
- desktop apps available for notifications and alerts of critical or just warnings of unusual activity from a time comparison standpoint
- syslog capabilities for specific needs
- Monitoring, time frame, graphing of any sensor's collected data.
- I'm able to get alerts onsite or remotely via iOS notifications, even on my apple watch.
- Systems that go down usually get fixed before we even see a helpdesk ticket.
- My mental health can suffer when we have massive outages due to alert fatigue - but there is a way to set things in PRTG Network Monitor as maintenance mode, or acknowledge alarms without pausing or ignoring which is awesome.
The native iOS apps and desktop apps for alerts and easy visibility set PRTG Network Monitor apart from others. Websites are available with the others and Checkmk has connections to telegram or splunk to get push notifications, but not as easy to see the whole organization at a glance from those notifications and are lacking IMHO.

Yes - The mobile APP is the key here. There is a way to use the regular webpage as well, but the app is far greater and available in all platforms.
