Overall Satisfaction with Planview AdaptiveWork

We use it to manage enterprise and implementation projects and are working towards leveraging it for resource management

Pros

  • setting up views
  • easy UI
  • configuration

Cons

  • Resource management
  • Reporting and dashboards
  • Financials
  • Integrations with other reporting tools like PowerBI
  • Roadmaps
  • Brought visibility and transparency to work
We have one workflow configured and it needs redone and we don't know how to fix it. Our implementation resource did it for us. We do not know how to configure labels, swim lanes or board templates, all of which sound like useful items. We've only added fields to the property card, which is very useful.
We have not had much luck with dashboard outputs. This is an area that needs some focus and I think improvement within the tool. I've had better experience with dashboards and reporting with other Planview products.
We tried to integrate with Salesforce but that did not work. We export data out of the system and load into PowerBI for reporting and analytics.
We've removed a lot of manual work for the PMs and improved the overall delivery process.
It's about the same. It should be noted that Planview AdaptiveWork was not our first choice. We selected Planview PPM Pro & ProjectPlace based on capabilities and roadmap. There were roadmap items that were going to solve several business problems and allow us to leverage the tool across departments. We were informed mid-implementation that those products were being "sunset" and no more roadmap items developed. This made us pivit to Planview AdaptiveWork.

Do you think Planview AdaptiveWork delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Planview AdaptiveWork's feature set?

No

Did Planview AdaptiveWork live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Planview AdaptiveWork go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Planview AdaptiveWork again?

No

Although the tool has a lot of flexibility as it relates to configuration, views, etc. other departments struggle with how to use it to manage backlogs, roadmaps, etc. I think there might be better tools within the Planview family of products that offer more options to support all departments across an organization.
