Overall Satisfaction with pCloud

pCloud is being used to store our ebooks across multiple computers and operating systems. We also use it for file storage along with Google Drive and to share media when working with freelancers. Everyone does use it, and it's essentially where we store any photos we have as a backup on our social media and other client-generated multimedia

Pros

  • Syncs really fast....both upload and download
  • Is reliable....decent uptime and quite stable

Cons

  • Offline folders (a normal sync rather than a separate folder would do)
  • Backups (ability to keep them longer and not be upsold for it)
  • Less stress (since I can switch computers and not be limited by hard drive space yet having access to what I need.
  • Integrating Linux into our workflow (they take the cake there, and that makes life so much easier.
  • pCloud makes the storage and retrieval process quite easy. With Google Drive, sure you can store lots of items, but the Linux functionality just wasn't there.
  • The same was the case with OneDrive, which I still use. However, it can be buggy and taxing on computer systems.
  • pClould is quite simple to use, flexible, and quite effective at what it does. And it's conveniently priced too.
  • I'm quite as impressed with it, although their faqs cover most current and pending issues. They take around 48 hours to respond to inquiries, while platforms like Gsuite have an instant agent and multiple contact options.
  • They do attend to you, and I do understand they're trying to keep a lean team and reduce operational costs. For a frequent user who uses cloud storage for multiple things such as website databases, etc. and has clients, it could be a tad frustrating.

Do you think pCloud delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with pCloud's feature set?

Yes

Did pCloud live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of pCloud go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy pCloud again?

Yes

  • pCloud is quite suitable for most users. It does a lot well, such as file storage, being multi-platform, and decent user experience with folder organizing and moving files around.
  • Where it isn't at apt would be in workspaces to manage documents like Google Drive, and even dropbox would provide. The ability to manage google docs, sheets, etc. would be a significant plus.
  • The ability to use a workflow to store file shortcuts (don't like their star system quite as much)
