Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use it for all of our HR needs outside of human resources. We use it for timekeeping, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, and some training. It really has helped us streamline from being a very paper-heavy organization to being a lot more electronic. Currently I'm working on building out a couple more forms and workflows to help us eliminate more of the paper concepts as well as creating an onboarding experience for our new applicants or candidates.
Pros
- I will say making the onboarding experience easy is great. Anyone that I send out an invite to, they're doing it in maybe 30 minutes, which is wonderful. I do know the recruitment has really changed a lot of our time recruiting our paper accessibilities. It's also elevating the staff in regards to our technology core concepts or baseline.
- I really like the reporting features now that they just implemented a little bit more of the dynamic reporting. It's actually helped streamline more of our government forms and reports that our audits require.
Cons
- From an admin perspective, I do struggle a little bit with the app because I don't have full recruiting capabilities, I'm not able to quickly turn turn around candidates if I'm not in the library or I'm not near my laptop. From the phone's perspective, if I try to pull up anything in Paylocity, it definitely does not display the same way as on a laptop or a computer. Those are some of the biggest downfalls I will say I am working through.
- Staff punching in and out. Over the last couple of weeks, we seem to have a lot of problems with it, so I'm trying to troubleshoot that with the staff. I did just speak with a representative in some other troubleshooting possibilities that might help improve that overall.
- The reports are amazing. That's really helped us really move our organization from a paper organization into more of an electronic organization. Our staff is still getting familiar with the recognition side of Paylocity, which is wonderful. It's definitely saved a lot of my time as far as searching for reports to pull what's going to work, what isn't going to work. Even speaking with the customer service reps, that has also saved a lot of my time as well.
I don't nearly spend as much time in the Paylocity tool as I used to. There are days that I still spend some time there, but a lot of it's just learning and growing with the use of the tool.
We just started using the recognition and then I also have two surveys that we've built out for our new hires that we're just now starting to utilize within the last two months.
When we were evaluating different HRIS programs, one of the biggest things that I really wanted to come into play was all of the different components. Being able to communicate with one another throughout the use of the tool. So by using PeopleSoft that was at a prior organization, the library would not be able to afford that. The system they had was called B2E. It did not give us what we needed where Paylocity gives us so many different buckets that we can communicate through versus ADP. ADP, I felt like it was very, here's timekeeping, here's the HR side, here's the LMS. It didn't really interconnect where Paylocity does.
