Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity as a full HRIS system to house employee information, time keeping system, and a payroll provider. We also utilize Paylocity's spending account services as well. We previously used very archaic means of record keeping and Paylocity helped us digitize our records. It also helped us increase employee engagement by using their community and survey modules.

Pros

  • Responding to questions
  • Ease of access for employee-users
  • Vast knowledge base for learning
  • Learning Management System

Cons

  • Implementation techs should be available longer - they seem to be more knowledgeable than the account managers
  • Communication - most of our contacts had changed but no one reached out to tell us
  • Better explanation during the sales process - it was sold as a seamless system, however, a lot of manual inputs are required
  • Reduction in time spent onboarding
  • Reduction in time spent tracking PTO
  • Reduced errors in Payroll
  • Streamlined candidate status tracking
Employees are enjoying the survey function and are happy they have a voice while maintaining anonymity.
Paylocity was a less costly option and allows for our staff to be a part of the HR process.

Paylocity is a good tool for HR professionals to maintain employee records, keep track of payroll, and used for employee engagement. Recruiting is also a good product but can use some improvements by not forcing people to use JobTarget. Paylocity isn't suited for being an ERP or job tracking system. It's also not suited for people that are new to HR.
