Overall Satisfaction with Outreach
Outreach is used primarily by our business development team. Our marketing department uses a tool that has similar capacities but is more catered for generating leads from a marketing perspective. While our business development team uses Outreach to communicate with customers, we also use it to send mass emails and generate new prospects. The tool is most helpful in the sense that the user can see how many times a prospect opened a website or link and at what time.
Pros
- Sending mass emails using previously saved sequences saves time
- Determining how many times a prospect read an email
- Organizing tasks and recording calls
Cons
- User interface could use some advance functionality
- Increased employee efficiency
- Faster lead conversion
- Positive ROI
I personally prefer Outreach's UI - it is far sleeker and easier to use than Act-On. Act-On has some added capabilities, like the ability to track who's visiting our website, and thus is sold as a marketing tool rather than a sales tool. Outreach, however, is a far more effective tool from a sales enablement perspective.
I use several reports in Outreach, including how many calls or emails I am sending on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis. I also generate reports to see what my email opening rate for each sequence is, and from there determine which emails are most effective and appealing to cold prospects. It's also helpful to determine how many calls I must make to book an initial engagement.
