Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely
We use Optimizely across several teams and departments for front-end A/B and multivariate testing.
Pros
- Faster test deployment
- Immediate access to test results
- Helpful customer support team
Cons
- Testing on back-end requires using Optimizely's full stack, so it doesn't come with Optimizely X
- If you ever need to use the change log, it's very bare bones
- Sped up our testing cadence
- Enabled more team members to set up tests
Whilst the platform is designed to be used end-to-end, we don't use it this way. We have a mix of in-house tech which connects with Optimizely. For us, Optimizely has provided the most value in setting up and deploying tests at a much faster rate.
The other competitors I'm aware of are Google Optimize, VWO and Adobe Target.
