Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro daily, making boards for brainstorming, prioritizing, and mapping outflows. As a UX team, we use Miro to add our A/B test hypotheses to a prioritization matrix so that we can better map out test ideas and see conflicts in testing where they arise. We also use it to map out website user journeys, as it's super quick and easy to make connections and diagrams. For QA and debugging, we use Miro to mark up changes and errors before exporting them as images and PDFs and sending them to development for implementation. For the internal business structure, we use Miro to plan out our processes and develop RACI matrixes to keep the team functioning smoothly daily. For new digital campaigns, we use Miro to brainstorm ideas and create affinity maps to get the most out of these ideas. We freaking love Miro.

Pros

  • User flows/journey mapping.
  • Brainstorming.
  • Prioritisation matrixes.
  • Eisenhower Matrix.
  • Ways of working process mapping.
  • Sitemaps
  • QA/Debugging markups.
  • Development changes/markups.
  • Collecting images and links.

Cons

  • A bit too costly, otherwise I would be using it for my freelance work as well.
  • Defining an area to share when choosing to share via a link rather than just when you're sending an invite.
  • Being able to define a unified font and font-size when setting up a new board.
  • Being able to make calculations/formulas.
  • I'm not in a position to have hard numbers in my business on ROI.
It makes it very easy to collaborate on a wide variety of projects, and it makes working in different offices and from home much, much easier. The speed it allows us to work means that communicating ideas through Miro feels almost like we're together in person, working on the same project.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is well suited to any business and any workflow. It allows you to visualize what's in your head quickly. It is a great space to collaborate and work on the same projects. We use it for user journeys, sitemaps, QA and debugging markups, development changes, A/B test prioritization, brainstorming, business ways of working, diagram/process mapping, link and inspiration store, etc. The only caveat is that it's too expensive for personal use.
