Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro as a product management tool for my design team. The ability to have multiple users working on the same platform at the same time is a game changer for managing and reviewing projects. Miro allows us to work in real-time and see real-time updates to the boards.

Pros

  • Presentations and exporting to PDF file formats.
  • Real time updates with visibility to all users.
  • Multiple user access.

Cons

  • Hiding boards - this is currently only available for the creator of the board but would be helpful for all users to hide for presentation purposes.
  • Link thumbnails - these are irregular and, depending on the file, can be small or not show at all. We would love to have all the link thumbnails be consistently the same size.
  • Tiff files—Miro does not like TIFF files. We work heavily with TIFF files, so we have to take extra steps to upload them to Miro.
  • Quicker project completion time - easy to review with the whole time.
  • Long term organization of projects.
Our team did very well with the platform and was eager to start using the program for personal and group projects. We have learned a lot along the way and share tips and tricks with the whole team that work well with our projects.
Our hybrid work environment was the reason for implementing Miro in our daily work. Our team is often very busy and in meetings all day, so Miro provides a quick way to review, give feedback, and continue working with little downtime.
Miro provides a clean and open format similar to Keynote, which we like, but Miro has much more flexibility. Miro's use of links with thumbnails allows us to work with images and links to other files all in one place. Miro also allows multiple users at the same time with real-time updates.

Miro is an excellent tool for visual review. In my experience using a design team, I especially like Miro because it provides one place to review endless work. We can update and review past and new revisions, give notes, tag other designers for feedback via digital review, and share the file presentation by exporting it to PDF. Miro has significantly improved our hybrid work environment.
