Overall Satisfaction with Lifesize Video Conferencing

The whole organization uses it, every day. We are constantly finding more ways to use it and almost replacing conference calls altogether.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Simple interface
  • High level of availability

Cons

  • More controls for the moderator/lecturer
  • Better user experience for those using browser client
  • Ability for admin to see not just quantity, but who is in a virtual meeting room
Simply the more people use it, the more comfortable they are. Users inherently don't like video, especially seeing themselves on the big screen.
Replacement of conference calls - anyone in an organization can be an expert on usage in 5 minutes. It is not appropriate (or needs more refinement) for large meetings and how it handles the view on screen sharing. The path it is taking is becoming more like a GoToMeeting or GoToWebinar. Don't know if that is good or bad. Lifesize's focus is video, for other tools, the focus is the presentation.

Using Lifesize Video Conferencing

Configuring Lifesize Video Conferencing

Configuration is not too limited, it is just right. It is more powerful than most need but has such a simplistic interface that anyone can use.
Set up the mic pods to be used as conference phones too
No - we have not done any customization to the interface
No - we have not done any custom code

Lifesize Video Conferencing Reliability

It has come a long way since introduction. People want it to be web conferencing, not just video conferencing. It is trying to compete with the other players and still adding functionality.
