Overall Satisfaction with UKG Ready

Our company uses it for onboarding new hires, benefits administration, policy administration, time and attendance, payroll, work comp claim tracking, OSHA reporting, and company-assigned asset tracking. The software provides a one-stop solution for all things employee and HR related. Kronos has helped us significantly reduce the amount of paper files related to HR matters. Managers and supervisors have better visibility of their employee's attendance and cost center/labor allocations.

Pros

  • Scheduled labor allocation reports.
  • Ability to download reports in multiple formats.

Cons

  • Attendance reports with accurate time missed calculations taking into account cleared exceptions.
  • Ability to generate summary reports with detail hidden for email distribution.
  • Employee self-service on common requests has helped free up time for HR to concentrate on higher-level projects.
  • The reporting is very flexible, and it is easy to create reports on the fly, which has helped management evaluate pay history and other metrics.
  • Workflows have enabled our team to work together efficiently without email communication to trigger actions.
We find chat support very useful for less involved issues. However, it seems chat support is frequently offline. It would be great if the time frame for chat support was increased. Also, some error messages don't give enough explanation about the issue. Onboarding and checklist setups are a bit cumbersome.
We have not integrated with any other products.
The ease of use of the time and attendance features have helped our managers save much time. Also, reports for extended leaves, such as FMLA, have made it easy for our team to manage employee leave. The self-service for employees has freed up time for HR and managers, enabling them to focus on other tasks.
  • Optimum Solutions HRIS (discontinued)
There is really no comparison, as the previous system was outdated. It had very minimal features and used black-screen AS400 technology. We were in need of a more robust system, and Kronos offered features we had not had before. So, from a comparison standpoint, it is not like comparing apples to apples.

Attendance reporting does not work well for our company due to the configuration of our perfect attendance bonus system. I suspect we need to rework our schedule set up to make this better fit our scenario. I wish our implementation team had been able to foresee our reporting issue with our configuration and help us come up with a solution.
