Enticing audiences with ease of Emma
Overall Satisfaction with Emma
I draft and send two separate weekly digests of blog articles, one with about 600 subscribers and the other with about 2000. It is currently used on an account-specific basis but after a recent demo more of our agency would like to start using it. Emma allows a novice email marketer like myself to catch on easily through drag and drop templates, straightforward editing, and upfront analytics. I've been able to teach myself how to do most of everything so far but when we do have a question support has been very prompt and direct.
Pros
- Ease of resending newsletters to non-openers. This is something I had to figure out how to do on my own but it was surprisingly simple.
- Drag and drop functionality. I've showed coworkers how to recreate the newsletters in my absence easily.
- Dashboard view showing quick metrics like open rate/click rate/number of subscribers is great, but I especially like the click map that shows where on the newsletter our subscribers are clicking.
Cons
- Audience management can feel clunky, and not as straightforward.
- Would like to be able to drag and drop elements as a group as opposed to just individually, which can be tedious when rearranging content.
- Would like to be able to group newsletter types together instead of all in our account being lumped together. Not sure if this is an option I just haven't found yet.
- Outstanding open and click rates far exceeding industry standards.
- Increased page views to our blogs.
- Helped us consolidate a handful of existing newsletters into more concise versions and made it easy to alert previous subscribers to the change.
MUCH more straightforward and usable, PeopleVine requires someone with a lot more coding knowledge to do simple things like change a font color or hyperlink text and is better used by an agency with extensive access to those experts whereas Emma can be taught to just about anybody. Support has been outstanding as well.
