Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
We are a cocktail company in IL and we use Dropbox to store all of our files internally and occasionally use it with external films. Photography, packaging files, marketing assets, sales and distribution spreadsheets. All of these things are held in here. In an ideal world it helps a ton with cross-functional communication and file sharing.
Pros
- Ability to share links
- Integrations
Cons
- Interface is clunky and feels dated compared to more modern software
- Being able to integrate with other storage solutions is very difficult
- Sharing files is not intuitive. I want a way to share a file with one click
- We find it hard to find things and spend a lot of time digging so we can spend less hours searching for things. A more robust suggested files algo would be helpful.
- Google Drive and Notion
Notion is not as good at making files eay to upload and download but the interactivity between your properties and data is unmatched. The way you can create databases and also have to linked to files is very clutch. If Dropbox wants to own the storage, you night to figure out how best I can work with it and manipulate that things I store within your interface.
