Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
I use Dropbox mainly to store design files for clients as well as in-house design files for retail products. I also store company documents and video files including social media and marketing videos. And if there are any personal files I can’t fit on my laptop hard drive I store them in Dropbox as well.
Pros
- Easy to organize files
- Files are all shareable, even with people who don’t have Dropbox
- Easy to use on and offline
- Able to use even if I’m not on my dedicated computer
Cons
- It would be great if all files were available offline instead of having to manual choose
- The desktop app feels a little unnecessary since Dropbox is accessible in the main File Explorer (Windows)
- The mobile app doesn’t always update in realtime. I’ve experienced delays when uploading a file from my desktop and accessing it on my phone
- It prevents me from having to purchase more external hard drives as my laptop doesn’t have space for all of the files I need
