Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management
We use Cvent Event Management for online event registration, among other things. Cvent is the only platform we have found that will meet our needs of online registration, exhibitor management, speaker management, along with platform-wide (cross-event) reporting. A lot of the other platforms we demoed did not view event management in a holistic way, just one event to the next. Cvent lets us manage everything in one place.
Pros
- Event-level, Cross-Event level, and Platform-level reporting
- Very simple online registration
- Configuration is very easy
Cons
- You have to implement a workaround to use images in your session descriptions.
- They tend to add features by acquiring other platforms, but then don't always cleanly integrate them into Cvent itself, so they always seem sort of ratcheted on.
- The media and document library is pretty basic, so you need to take extra steps to link PDFs and other documents within the registration process if you choose to host the docs on Cvent.
- We are able to have two registration coordinators on staff instead of a large customer service department since most of our registrations are online. In the past, most of that was handled over the phone and via mail.
- Since Cvent has a bottomless bucket of emails, we have been able to offload thousands of emails off our email marketing platform since we now use Cvent to send out registration invitations and sponsored classroom emails.
- With the introduction of the Zapier integration, we no longer have to rely on developers to integrate into other platforms. We can easily do that in-house.
- Bizzabo and Accelevents
Cvent was the only events software that could meet our needs at a price that was palatable. We have been with Cvent for over a decade and I shop around every time we come up for contract renewal just to see what's out there. Cvent hands-down is able to handle so much more complex needs than anything else out there. The value for what you get is exceptional.
