Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management

Cvent is being used by the MICE department in my organization. It helps our customers register to events and ease the payment process, while helping us building the website, the registration form and invitations. I’ve been working with Cvent since 2019. I can't remember how we used something else before Cvent Event Management!

Pros

  • Site Designer is a wonderful tool to ease the website building process.
  • The responsive website that fits for all types of computers and phones is a must!
  • PNR management is a time saver!

Cons

  • A translated site designer instead of language management
  • Multi-destination flights in air requests
  • Visibility logic between Flight Request and Air Actual widgets
  • Modification of the registration without going through all the pages
  • Include sessions to specific registrants, not all
  • We haven't started using Cvent yet for registering events. We are still establishing it.

I think Cvent works for any types of event. From meetings and incentives to weddings and vacations, I don't see how Cvent wouldn't work. However, I don't think Cvent would be necessary if your event doesn't have activities/sessions/excursions to register to. If you only want people to tell you if they're coming, you might not need this kind of platform.

Using Cvent Event Management

20 - We are all in the MICE department in the travel agency. We're mostly working with clients to organize multiple incentive events. So, we are all creating events, managing rooming, booking flights and activities. Some are travel expert, some are technology expert and some are flight expert. But, we're all working with Cvent to manage registrations.

Because we implanted the platform in the last 6 years, we won't changing anytime soon. We've been training a lot of travel agents year after year, so we won't be going back to our previous method. Our work has improved since switching to this platform, so we won't be going back.

Evaluating Cvent Event Management and Competitors

We were working manually before. Registrations, bookings, extensions, everything was done manually. With Cvent Event Management, everything can be done on the same platform, everything is related. It doesn't feel like we keep repeating the same thing over and over again because everything is linked. That was our main goal.

Cvent Event Management Support

Each time I asked a question or I created a case, I always received and answer in the next following days. If they didn't give me the solution right away, the case was escalated to increase the research. The only downside is that sometimes the issue isn't perfectly understood or just unusual, so we can waste some time explaining to many support agents.

Using Cvent Event Management

I think the platform is really user friendly, but some people might find it a bit loaded. There are a lot of options, a lot of tabs, a lot of features, but everything was built with the customers' and the planners' needs in mind. If you have a natural ease with technology, this won't stop you at all!
