Overall Satisfaction with Crownpeak DXP
Crownpeak DXM is being used by the digital experience team within the Corporate Marketing Department at my organization. We're using it to manage and host our 19+ sites and their related image, video, PDF and other assets.
Pros
- Simplistic Content Management - the system is very easy to learn and use.
- Customer Support Team is great - our issues get responses and resolution in a timely manner.
- It's really easy to clone/duplicate assets, which helps with building out new sites or new sections within existing sites.
- The DQM tool helps us track, identify and correct any organic SEO or general website functionality issues.
Cons
- I never got to use the desktop application version - which my colleagues love(ed) - but the web browser version, although easy, has some weird glitches. For instance, I have to refresh the browser one-two times per day to get the scroll bar to appear to scroll through long form asset files/content pages.
- It would be nice to have some kind of capability to have new files/PDFs wrapped when you upload them. At the moment, I have to upload a new file, then go manually wrap it before I embed it on a page, which adds an extra step to common tasks I perform.
- This is minor, but since CrownPeak is soon phasing out it’s app, it’d be nice if the desktop portal/interface had a more responsive design (especially for folks who have to work from home because of the pandemic and don’t have a robust set up). In my experience, CrownPeak’s competitor’s Sitecore and Drupal have a browser portal/interface that is much more responsive and laptop screen-friendly.
- Improved digital experience
- Ease of content management
- Drupal and Sitecore Content Hub (Stylelabs)
CrownPeak’s DQM gives the entire CrownPeak suite a slight advantage because it’s so helpful in tracking functionality issues, typos and areas for SEO improvements.
The other competitive products I used had not had these features in such a robust way the last time I used them 3-5 years ago.

I dont manage the support communication directly, so I’m not sure whether it’s premium. I believe it is...
Yes - It varies — for the most part it’s resolved in 1-2 business days or less.
We had to launch a new website and had major glitches to the templates. CrownPeak hopped on the issue immediately and we were able to launch the website on team.
