Overall Satisfaction with BQE CORE

In my role, I mainly use BQE CORE to track my work hours, broken down into various projects and project phases. This program addresses how our company can track each person's time and bill / invoice the client(s) accurately according the amount of work performed. It also allows for full transparency between us and our leadership team about how much time a task takes, which is helpful to foster a supportive work environment.

Pros

  • Project hours tracking
  • Collecting and organizing tracked hours by project and phase
  • Displays to employees their time use each week, from billable hours to non-billable and PTO

Cons

  • It was not overly user friendly at the beginning. I had issues initially locating where to go to log my hours and remembering how to get there for the next few times I logged in.
  • I wish it allowed me to contact my management team directly through the program, so I can seamlessly notify them when a new project needs to be added and items such as that.
  • Sometimes the hour-logging interfaced can feel cluttered, but it does not hinder me from logging my time.
  • Positive impact is that is allowed more accurate time estimates to be written into client contracts
  • Positive impact includes transparent time tracking between employee and management team
  • Positive impact includes being able to connect allotted contract hours and hours being logged by employees
Now that I know how to use it, it is very clear and helpful! However, at the very beginning of using this program, I did not find it to be overly user friendly. It took a few times before I remembered where exactly to go to din the specific time tracking form I used. However, I now love how everything is broken down within the time tracking and would recommend it to anyone in my field of work.
I previously used Gusto for both benefits / employee details and also time tracking. It was really nice to have everything in one place, and Gusto felt very simple. However, it did not have as many broken down categories for time allotment. Harvest felt similar to Gusto, and it was easy to create my own category of work to be sent to my employer if a project hadn't yet been set up as a time category.

Do you think BQE CORE delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with BQE CORE's feature set?

Yes

Did BQE CORE live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of BQE CORE go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy BQE CORE again?

Yes

Within the field of architecture (or any project-based profession), I feel that BQE CORE is wildly helpful when it comes to logging tracking hours for projects. It allows the hours to be broken down by client, project, and even project phase. It helps us also continue to learn how much time tasks require for us, so that we can accurately write that in to future time estimates in contracts.
