- AvaTax
Overall Satisfaction with Avalara AvaTax
Avalara is currently being used by our accounting department so that we can track and monitor our sales tax. Each state has different filiing requirements, and Avalara makes it easy to pull reports by state with specific time periods.
Pros
- Reporting capabilities are fantastic - By State, Time Period, etc.
- Ease of use - The software is very intuitive, even updates are easy to learns and understand.
- Setup - Rather easy to add files/date manual or upload bulk data quickly!
Cons
- One login to access Certcapture & Avatax would be nice.
- Drag and Drop function would be nice.
- An editable dashboard as your welcome page would be nice.
- Reduced sales tax liability = $$$$.
- Reduced time to create returns.
- Reduced time generating reports.
- SAGE, MAS100.
- Quickbooks
- Salesforce
Rather easy to achieve, our ERP calls out to Avatax to calculate tax rates by location, than our ERP updates with the proper tax amount.
We have not taken advantage of this yet, but we will explore this as our company grows.
Avalara and the support is above competitors.
