We're a software services company and we also provide consulting and assistance to corporate clients for setting up their workflow. Adobe Captivate Prime is being used by our customers and we help them set it up for internal employee training as well as customer training.
Adobe Captivate Prime helps our clients solve a variety of business problems starting from training their employees and getting them familiarized with the internal tools and conventions to letting their customers get started with their products and make the most of it.

- Create tutorials for your product
- Create quick quizzes to make sure users are paying attention
- Encourage employees to practice at off-hours
- Not frequently updated with new features
- Outdated pricing plan focused on enterprise customers
- Enterprise support is not up to the expected level
- Had to spend more time to map the outdated documentation with new UI, increasing the expenses
- Once set up, it's easier to add new content and track progress, making it save time in the long run
- Lack of a better reporting feature is slowing down the content update cycle
All these years that I used Adobe Captivate Prime, the support seems to be non-existent. Even during COVID, Adobe is not properly funding the product and also not increasing the support capacity. The sales team is only interested in large teams which have 1,000 users or more. It's also hard to reach the support team in general.
We've considered alternatives only because the support and documentation of Adobe Captivate Prime is lacking. We have not made any purchase decisions yet but might switch to an alternative solution soon. This market space is growing faster during COVID and there are a lot of compelling options out there other than the two options I have mentioned above.
