Overall Satisfaction with ActivTrak
We use ActivTrak to evaluate medical provider efficiency and focus while at work. It tracks their use of all websites and multitasking, whether they are engaged in productive tasks or trolling news websites or social media. It shows how they’re doing both at work and when they take work home.
Pros
- The display s easy to understand
- It is easy to manipulate the data to create meaningful reports for individual reviews
- Overall user-friendly for someone who is not tech-savvy
Cons
- Display of reports on cell phone is terrible
- Some providers work longer shifts and averages on reports don’t take into account differences in shift lengths
- Example: all “overutilized” staff are scheduled for longer shifts, so this report isn’t useful
- I find I don’t use it much in individual reviews. Maybe 2 or 3 out of 20, only for outliers.
- Mostly it’s nice to be able to show how on-task my team is.
Very little. I could look at providers’ time cards and know when they’re going home at night and showing g up in the morning. I rarely had concerns that they were on websites other than the EMR.
Not applicable for our team because they’re all in office and we discourage work from home.
